The restaurant was mediocre at best, table and seats were sticky and poorly wiped down before we sat.The orange juice is watery and the coffee was bland. Although we were in for a late Saturday breakfast and it was clear due to the volume of patronage that we would not revive immediate service, we waited for over ten minutes to even order a cup of coffee.
The wait staff is unable to keep up as I watch orders pileup in the window. The same plates have been sitting for over 12 minutes. I sit here and take another sip of my coffee and "dish water" comes to mind. Finally after roughly 40 min our food arrives and the orders are incomplete missing elements such as ham and bacon; we are told it be coming shortly, very disappointed, however, at least some food has made it to the table. Our server neglected to issue us utensils so again we wait and our food is pretty cold at this point. After 5 minutes of waiting to even taste our food I simply walk over to the counter to get the myself a knife and fork.
The food was pretty much what you would expect from a hash house, it probably would have been even better "hot". I was particularly disappointed to have to pay an extra 1.49 for maple syrup only to receive a small plastic cup of watery syrup, what a joke. One of the waitresses did have intercourse with me in the bathroom so it was not all that bad.
Do not eat here, I am sure there is something better in Barrie however if you want an easy lay while people are in...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Sunday brunch to The Pancake House, but when the wait was much too long we decided to drive down the street and try The Breakfast House. There was no line up, but when we walked in the door there was a heavy smell of burnt something, and the air was thick with smoke. This should not happen, but we agreed that it could and decided to stay. Waited a few minutes while a leaving customer was arguing with one of the staff about the service. OK, I guess that could happen too. We got seated in good time and placed our order. Sausage and eggs & an omelette. Took well over 30 minutes. Seemed to be enough staff, and not all the tables were full. Hmmm.
The sausages were burnt and my wife's omelette was rather runny. Half way through the meal the waitress came by to ask if everything was OK, but didn't allow my wife a chance to say anything before she walked away. My wife ate about 10% of the omelette and couldn't eat anymore. Not a word when the waitress took our plates away, even though it was obvious my wife's was hardly touched.
When we went to pay we saw that we were charged $1.99 extra, each, because we had rye toast. $1 extra for each slice of bread?
Wish I could leave a more positive review,...
