I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taste of Shawarma and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home.

I’m very surprised this Shawarma place has good reviews. We ordered chicken shawarma platters and shawarma wraps and were very excited to try it after seeing how well the place is rated. I have to say that it’s now officially the worst shawarmas I’ve tried in my life, and let me tell you we’ve tried at least 10 Shawarma places in GTA. I rarely leave reviews, but this place just disappointed so much, what a waste of $55…

The chicken doesn’t taste good, lots of big and uncomfortable pieces to eat. The wrap itself is like a piece of cloth, we ended up taking out everything inside because it simply couldn’t hold the food, its so soggy…, Small portions compared to the other places for similar prices.

BUYER BE AWARE: We ordered through UberEats, and let me tell you its a scam, they say ‘2 for price of 1’ and we saw the prices inside the place when we were picking up the order. Its the same compared to the ones with the discounts. Furthermore, whatever was not on discount is 2x the price you would’ve paid if you ordered right at the place. So, I guess its also a piece of mind if you are someone who prefers to order online through such platforms.

First few experiences was a 5 star experience amazing swarma with large portions in an exceptionally clean kitchen and restaurant. But unfortunately in the last 2 months since my fiancé and I became regulars we have noticed a significant decrease in portion size and a significant price increase in such a short amount of time as well as it’s not worth ordering on delivery because very rarely were my preferences about what I want followed. I don’t believe we will go back just because I don’t like when a business isn’t trying to be consistent and I feel more cheaped out on my order.
