Dosa Boyz - Best Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

Driven past this place countless times and decided to pop in and check it out.

We weren't expecting the Dosa's to be so good, prior this we've only ever sampled Guru Laksmi or Udupi Palace, and this place stands toe to toe with them, if not marginally better.

Place is clean and tidy, nice vibe and atmosphere with other patrons, and staff are super nice and friendly.

They have a robot to deliver the plates which is quite novel, and helpful.

On to the food, so we ordered 007 chicken, Rajni chicken dosa and Paper masala dosa.

The 007 chicken is on the spicy side so be warned ⚠️ 🌶 (the staff were kind enough to provide some raita that did help cool things down, but still spicy).

The Rajni chicken dosa, had the same filling as the 007 chicken, in hindsight I would not have ordered this as this, as 007 chicken blew my head off, anyhow I threw the accompanying dips on there with the raita to help me get through this bad boy - my tongue was on 🔥 😆

The other dosa, was the paper masala dosa, this was prob the star of the show, simple dosa, super thin, with great potatoes filling- I would deffo reorder this on my next visit, so I can truly enjoy the dosa and not think about the fire 🔥 in my mouth ;)

To end, the super friendly staff, saw my struggles and provided a couple Julab Jamuns to help restore some balance - these were top notch, we weren't expecting them to be so good, another thing we would recommend on the menu.

Happened to find this place with my kid one day when in the area and the Mandarin was between times. Man am I ever glad for that. It gave us a chance to find a place with some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. We started with the poutine & added chicken to it (what a great add on) it was so delicious. My daughter went for the butter chicken as she usually does when at the right establishment, & She wasn’t disappointed. They let you pick your level of spice & got them to add some heat to it but she wasn’t as adventurous as she can be but it still had a kick. As for me I went for the tikka Masala and asked for it medium heat & I was also happy with the level of heat provided for medium. Sometimes I’ll go for the hot but I knew I had more things to do this afternoon & didn’t want to chance it. Both dishes came with rice, my only complaint would be that they could give a better portion size of rice to match the amount of chicken they provide. The flavours & amount of both of our chickens were plentiful & full of flavourful. We had it with the garlic naan which was amazing as well. When we were eating we couldn’t help but notice most of the other patrons were Indian, which is a good sign to me if they’re willing to pay for what they could probably make at home. I tried the place for the first time ever and I am not too impressed. Firstly we were 7 people and gave order for everything at one time but 3 people got their dosa first and rest 4 of us waited atleast 10 minutes till they were half done with their food, then we got our dosa. We got only 3 still and my sister waited approximately 20-25 mins for her order which just basic masala dosa. It took very look by that time you feel full poor her ate from her husbands plate because hers came too late. Secondly the food quality was not best. Maybe the quality was good but ingredients did not feel like authentic south Indian. The Sambas was sweet I didn’t eat sambar at all because it was too sweet for me, secondly the potatoes in dosa were shiny which gave texture and taste of pumpkin. I think they added pumpkin in with potatoes which took basically all the fun away of a masala dosa. Thirdly mysore masala dosa and masala dosa were exactly same except the red thing applied inside the dosa.

Personally I did not love it but did not hate it to not go again. But I hope this review helps them improve. Its very true to what my family and I felt....
