Heritage Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Brampton

pre-ordered my food, went to pick it up, tried to pay with debit but machine went down. girl tell me payment has not gone through, ask what the problem is, machine says network failure. tried again same issue. The guy (found out he is manager after) called TD support line for debit machine. i waited for about 15 or so, (when i walked in my food was ready) I ask whats going on ?? I only get 30 minutes for lunch. girl tell me i can go. i ask about my order and she shrugged. i guess my food went into the garbage. Not sure who would want it after it been cooked and now sitting around for 15-20 minutes called back after to complain to manager after i picked up food from the A&W next door. Explain who i was he immediately starts to yell, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? I TRY TO FIX MACHINE YOU LEAVE. he refuses to listen does not want to hear anything i say just wants to yell at me.

Avoid this location, horrible customer service....

Tried this place after having tried Harbourside another fish and chips place. I've also heard a lot of people say that this is one of the best fish and chips places in Brampton. I got the halibut as opposed to the lunch special which is with haddock. I did try the haddock which was really good and had less of a fishy taste than most places. It was mild and crispy on the outside. The fries were underwhelming and honestly a little soggy. The halibut was also a very thin square piece of fish that did not seem worth the price. I paid less for a bigger piece elsewhere. It was a let down.

The food overall was decent however the experience with the piece of halibut that I received and the price I had to pay was outrageous. If you do plan on going here, stick to the lunch special. It is a decent value for your money and is why people talk...

Came by today and I had a great experience. Firstly, the food was cooked to perfection. My fish was nice and crispy on the outside and not dry in the middle at all. The fries were surprisingly delicious as well. Second, the staff there was phenomenal. I’ve never seen a place go above and beyond the way these employees did. The girl taking my order displayed perfect customer service skills and added in utensils, ketchup and napkins without me even asking. While waiting for my food she was asking me about my day and we had a great conversation, she is so friendly and just made the place feel so welcoming. 10/10 experience I would definitely recommend to a friend...
