My wife and I went in to grab some food on our way home around 8:30pm. No customers were in the restaurant so we walked up and placed our order. We wanted a nugget combo and and a sandwich combo. Upon ordering the nugget combo the server asked someone in the back if nuggets were available. A person hunched over who appeared to be sleeping behind the counter popped his head up and said " no we don't have nuggets". I kindly asked "why". He said "we just received the shipment". I said " ok, no problem" and we proceeded to order tenders instead. The server at the counter was very kind and courteous. While we were waiting for our order 2 young females approached the counter and ordered a chicken sandwich and once again the person slouched behind the counter popped his head up, but this time he sprung up and took the order right away. About 1 minute later he called out an order that was ready that included a spicy hot chicken sandwich. I figured it was our order so I raised my hand and he said "no that is not your order it is there's". I said " but I ordered well before these other customers" in which he replied "we're waiting on fries". I could clearly see that there were fries in the warming bin. I said "ok no problem". About 45 seconds later our order was ready and the person that appeared to be sleeping bagged up our order, asked us what dipping sauce we wanted and handed us our order. As he handed it to us he had the audacity to say "I guess you guys are hangry". I said to him "you were the person sleeping" and walked out with my order. He laughed and didn't respond. This was a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience for my wife and I. I will not be returning to this location and I will encourage others not to as well. I don't have any hard feelings for the server that directly took our order as he was very kind and respectful but the person in the grey shirt was very...
Read moreNever have I had such a experience at a Popeyes. Two locations I eat at frequently are the Harwood and Rossland location in Ajax and the Midland and Lawrence location in Scarborough. Today at about 8pm I believe I walked into this location and ordered a 3 pc combo with fries, large mashed potatoes and a root beer to drink. I asked for spicy but settled for mild because I didn't mind. I came home to what I thought I purchased and asked for to instead a 3 pc that was old and stale, bloodied up chicken drum with one of the pieces blue as hell. To make matters worse I was given the least amount of fries I have ever gotten from a fast food restaurant. Every Popeyes I've gone to have always given me the right amount. I noticed the cashier take fries out of my box saying "I'm so stupid " I'm assuming she thought she had put too much when she didn't put the right amount. Last but not least my large mashed potatoes was split into 3 regular mashed potatoes. I only write this here today because I am disappointed customer who came in here today trusting that this Popeyes location has service like all other locations instead I came home to unsatisfying meal that I couldn't finish. I came in hungry and I am still hungry. You need to step...
Read moreMade a quick stop for one of my favourite spicy chicken sandwich locations. On one hand, I was a little bit happy that I had to wait close to eight minutes for my sandwich because it showed me that it was freshly made. On the other hand, a couple of pies that I bought that must’ve been sitting on the warming shelf were a little bit tough and chewy alluding to the fact that they would probably been sitting there for hours.
After washing my hands in the bathroom I noticed mould along the countertop that clearly shows the bathroom doesn’t get cleaned very well or very often. This would literally be something that should just wipe right off. Cleanliness is clearly not very important at this location. Makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is.
The service itself was decent. I don’t know if it’s me or if people are just weird these days. When giving me my food I told the lady I do not need a bag or any condiments. She questioned how I was going to hold my food because there were two pies and a sandwich. I picked everything up with one hand and looked at her strangely. I hate extra garbage so I don’t like...
