This quaint little gem hidden away in downtown Brampton, very cozy, who knew??? Six of us went for dinner last Fri night. 3 of us had the house special which was a lamb stew, served with rice, beets and a little salad. Excellent not one complaint. The other special was Talapia with rice, large, well cook, nice & flaky fish, again excellent, everyone enjoyed their dinners and the appetizer were also excellent. Garlic red peppers, humus and petta's, brushetta (with red peppers not tomatoes) Can't wait to go back, only draw back was the table, although a lovely hand made barn board table, it is high and you sit on bar stools this was not comfortable to me or the other guest. I would love to have sat at a real table, and the tables are very close, one of our guests was getting kicked in the back from the child at the next table that was sitting up on her feet at the table. The parents made no attempt to stop the child or ask her to sit properly and quietly on the chair. We did love...

I used to like it there...prices went up, service went down.

When we arrived, the owner welcomed us by telling us negative stories about people who had been in the restaurant. We then sat down and ordered.

The food took quite some time to arrive, despite it being almost empty. The entire time we waited, the owner continued to speak to another patron about other customers. She loudly spoke of how cheap some were, and how they shared meals. As we were choosing to share an appetizer and an entree, she probably added us to the list of people to complain about.

Not once did she stop by to explain the delay. The food arrived, but she hadn't brought us cutlery. Unapologetically, she went to get it, but didn't return for at least five minutes after the food had arrived.

The food was good, but $18 for 6 pierogies is overpriced.

Okay but overpriced food, inattentive service, and bad-mouthing customers made for an unpleasant experience. I will not...

Good food and atmosphere, but oh so much went wrong. We waited quite a while for our food (there was six of us). When we did get it there was only two dishes and one of them was the completely wrong one. Mine was right, but i only took one bite before the server came and took it and said it was for another table. Because the food was disturbed they couldn't serve it to the other table. This table ended up waiting over an hour for food. By the time they got their food we were paying. My group waited around forty five minutes for our food and while it was filling at the time I'm already hungry on the car ride home. To end a very weird dinner I learned that there were coins in my water glass, but only I had drank half of it. I'm concerned as to how they got there and i can only come up with the fact that they are sloppy. Not interested in...

Hasn't returned to dine in but picked up gypsy stew and special schnitzel. Portions were very generous and both are terrific. The cream cheese stuffed schnitzel was crispy on the outside with a luscious core. Must have been a million calories but each one was so tasty. The stew contained many many tender pork chunks with just enough fat to keep the meat moist in a thick red sauce. Can't decide if the sauce was tomato based but it was rich and nicely seasoned on a bed of rice. Tangy slaw and beets complemented mains. Vera was kind hearted enough to give us turnovers and raisin buns when they ran out of the brioche buns we ordered. Maybe because it was for someone's birthday. Overall a wonderful takeout experience. Hope they open again for inside service.

Came on a Friday evening for dinner. Ordered the perogies and the Serbian salad to start. Our main coursers were (1) Goulash (2) Rolled stuffed pork schnitzel and (3) Pork schnitzel. The sides were rice, cabbage salad, beet salad and sauerkraut. The beet salad and beef goulash were too salty. However, the beef in the goulash was very tender. The sauerkraut and cabbage salad were very dry. The rice was bland. Overall, the stuffed pork , Serbian salad and pork schnitzel were our best choices. The cheesecake was very good but the portion was quite modest. Good value - I would come again but hopefully next time the meals will be less salty.

Nice gem downtown Brampton! We ordered schnitzel, a family serving of goulash, challah bread and cinnamon buns. Everything was delicious. If you have the chance to get the challah bread while they’re hot... it’s like heaven on earth! Will definitely try other things next time, and can’t wait to dine in when things are “normal” again. Vera was such a delight to meet. It goes without saying, but the service (although for pick up) was so genuine and special; a cherry on top.
