SunRise Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

I went to this location recently. I called ahead to check if they had oxtail because the last time I went they were sold out and they were not making anymore. When I called, a snarky and rude woman answered that phone. I didn't pay this any mind. When I went there and was ready to make my order, the woman behind the counter started taking the order of someone else who came in after myself. I am from the Caribbean but I don't have any decernable accent. Some people believe that I am stuck up because I don't speak the way they speak. I am also more of a quiet person. The people who work hear do have that accent but they also have adopted a "ghettoized" type of behaviour. I call the person behind the counter a "woman" only to be respectful. There is a word far worse to describe her. It is unfortunate that reviews don't have an impact on some of these people's jobs because some don't have any decorum. They don't deserve a job in the service industry. The bad reviews they receive are 100% justified. This is why a lot of people have such a bad perception of black people. It's because of ghetto pieces of crap like that woman. I refuse to get ghetto to be treated with respect. I am a decent person who treats people well and to think that this nasty woman treated me so poorly simply because I speak more polished than her is deplorable. It's servers like these who give the food industry a bad name. The service was so bad and if I had her name I would put her on blast. I usually wouldn't do that, but it was that bad. Safe to say that I will not be going back to that crap hole. I only rated this a "one" so that it would not look as if I forgot to give a rating. Those pieces of garbage don't even deserve that. Hi, I went into this restaurant around lunchtime on a Saturday. The woman that was serving was very grumpy, I am not familiar with the food being served and so I asked some questions about the fish. The woman acted as though she was extremely irritated by my questions and after a while she refused to answer me. She then proceeded to ask me about what I wanted to order. I was really upset by her attitude and would have left, however my husband was really hungry and tired so I decided to just get the food. Whilst I was about to leave with my order, I asked for an extra fork, she then gave a silly grin and said" you order one box of food and want two fork, you have two mouth you is eat with". I took my food and left, with only one fork. My husband and I did not have to spend our money at your franchise. We decided to give you the sale as we our selves are Caribbean people with business and during this covid lockdown we help each other. I expect a good friendly, kind attitude when spending my money at a food outlet, it's the very least you would expect we are human beings not animals. Went by this morning to purchase breakfast and it was terrible. This was my go to spot back in the day and it’s been through a lot of management changes but this is by far the worst. The porridge was awful and that’s usually good. It was soured. The beans and salt-fish were fresh. They’ve also changed their packaging to the cheapest most dangerous and inefficient packaging. Putting hot food in that packaging is not a good idea. The food was melting through by the time I got home. The porridge was put in a see through plastic container. Terrible. The person serving me had on her bed time bonnet biker shorts and a dirty Tshirt. The boiled dumplings were weird, they were like a cube shape, I’m not sure how you even get dumplings to be shaped like that 🤔 The whole experience and food was awful. I went right next door and bought Starbucks. I got home and tossed it in the garbage. Which is the pic you see here. Unfortunately I thought of writing the review after I had already tossed the food. I am Jamaican so I know what the food should taste like. This is horrible. I’ve been a customer of this location for years as I used to live in Brampton.
