My experience this afternoon was horrible! I went in with my guest & waited a long time to be seated. Only when I popped my head in to look in I think I caught the managers attention. She quickly apologized & wondered ware her door person was. My guest n I were seated at a table ware no waitress waited on us, not even to say they'd be with us in s few seconds. After being ignored for more then 5 minutes my guest was furious & we left. Nobody at the restaurant noticed since no attention was paid to us. We happily went to the restaurant across the parking lot ware we received excellent service. In the past year in & a half this queen location service has gone right down the drain. My guest being diabetic & not being able to be served a drink even to take his medication. The waitress are moody unhappy people who seem to give attitude when we approach them for a drink which they don't brother to ask if we ever want a refill. Rude, defensive & always the reply that their very busy when the restaurant today was definitely not!!! My guest does not want to go to this location anymore. Unfortunately not the only time we've received horrible service as my husband refuses to dine there either. Concern has been brought up to management from my guest a previous time we dined there & again was served with the worst service. He expressed how horrible the service was but still no change. I will not dine at this moody, rude, defensive waitress service location anymore. Your suppose to enjoy your dining experience not be made to feel like crap. In our last visit the woman's washroom didn't even have toilet paper in which of course I mentioned to a waitress who did nothing about it, noticing a handicap lady going into the bathroom after me. Shame on them. Mostly the day staff older lady's. I think their horrible. Asks me to rate with stars I say no stars for this location. My guests & I are tired of moody defensive & rude waitress. Yes I said guests! Besides family members I've brought in friends who have also had a horrible experience with this location & yes my friend did put in a complaint. Having a nice meal shouldn't make a person feel horrible after the meal is done which this location does. I think you should be complained on for treating your customers horribly & ignoring customers comments such as replacing toilet paper in the bathroom. I didn't tell the waitress to bother her I told her because people need the bathrooms & as I said a handicap lady went in after myself.
It seems every time I go to this location the service is met with moody rude defensive waitress. Why is management letting this happen?! Especially when they've been told.
My guest & I were extremely upset at being completely ignored today that we walked out without any waitress noticing our exit. That's how much they pay attention to their customers. At least if my guest was offered a drink so that he could take his medication that would have been something. Instead we enjoyed a lovely meal at lone star with excellent service of refills on drink with smiles & no attitude. It was a excellent experience.
Thanks Swiss chalet queen for ignoring my guest & I today. Barely anyone in the restaurant & they couldn't find the time to come to serve us. Once one of my favourite location to dine but today my review I don't want to go back.
Maybe I should sign off as extremely moody for being...
Read moreVisited June 10; seated in an area where there was another group of 4. We were approached by our server Olivia who was polite as she was when speaking to the other table. I should mention we and the folks at the other table were all Caucasian. About 10 min later, a man of colour and his three sons were seated at a third table in our area. I was impressed by his well behaved boys and how the man was interacting with his sons. He placed a call to their mother so they could all greet her...for whatever reason, he was there to ensure his children were receiving a healthy dinner as opposed to fast food. He seemed to be unfamiliar with the menu and when he was approached by Olivia, I was utterly SHOCKED at her tone and demeanour towards the man as compared to her demeanour towards us and the other group. When the man of colour asked questions about the menu, Olivia barked answers. I was horrified at her racist behaviour! When their food arrived, I was sad to realize the Dad had only ordered meals for his boys...the reason for his unfamiliarity became apparent that he was likely not a frequent restaurant attendee perhaps because of his limited means. That said, the family was well groomed and neatly dressed so there was no reason to be “repulsed” by the man and his sons. By the time I was done eating and witnessing several further similarly rude interactions by Olivia towards this man, my blood was boiling. I had a long private conversation with a female who presented herself as ‘manager’. She welcomed my remarks and promised to take action in response. The reason I am posting this is simple, if you attend this location and witness such racially insensitive behaviour by this server, i urge you to report it. This manager had no inkling of this employee’s behaviour and she told me she would follow up but unless you do your human responsibility and report it appropriately, Olivia will continue to be a racially insensitive individual ....after all we were all created equally regardless of the colour...
Read moreIn the Take out area today, I ordered my dinners with add on sides to go. While waiting. A man walked in who had pre-ordered his and waited.
The other lady who didnt take my order, came from the back without checking any receipt gave this man my dinner. I immediately, stood up while he was walking away and advised her that she possibly, gave my order to the wrong person.
She agreed. Offered me his, which was not the same. I refused.
The manager never came to apologize, nor did they acknowledge anything wrong.
What happened next is mind boggling. They must of called the guy. He eventually brought back the food.
The same girl employee, turns to me expecting me to accept food that this stranger drove off with and hand been in his hands.
I told the Swiss chalet young lady, I will not accept the food that has left the building and in this strangers hands, he could have done anything to it.
Next thing you know the guy has the nerve to say if she doesn't want it, I'll take it for free. I said I paid for the food he took, if anyone is to get anything free is me to compensate for my time because they allowed you to take my food.
I didn't get any apology, from the manager, I had to wait more time to get my order,
This Swiss chalet restaurant manager has no realization, of the danger and legale consequences of this situation. What if I had taken the food, this man, could have been tampered with it and as a result it harmed or killed me or my family, the resturant would be legaly liable !!!
This mistake is a dangerous one
Moving forward, you and or your staff should check receipts and orders, to ensure the right customer gets the right order!
McDonald's/Burger King use order numbers. Perhaps you can take a lesson from this mishap and at least apologized.
Check receipt orders. Don't give my order to stranger they leave then bring it back and you expect me to eat it!!! Dangerous and...
