What a hidden gem in Burlington! I've lived in Burlington for the past 5 years and only came upon this restaurant today when I made a wrong turn and saw this restaurant. Google gave them great reviews, Yelp however the reviews weren't that great. So I took a chance and boy was I glad I did!!

Ambiance: It's a cute small but modern restaurant. Very clean and the decor was nice with Japanese dividers between tables to give you some privacy.

Service: The service was amazing. The lady that served us might be a owner she was so nice and so helpful. She came by to make sure we were ok.

Food: Ok this maybe simple but the simple things are what makes me love a restaurant. They water they kept Refilling for for us had a hint of lemon in it. It's so simple but a nice touch! We started with beef gyoza it was fried to perfection and so tasty. Then we had the agetashi tofu which is deep fried tofu drenched in teriyaki sauce. Tasted amazing! Our mains were spider rolls, steak bento box and chicken udon e stir fry. The dishes were all so flavourful and the steak was so tender my kids loved it.

All in all an amazing restaurant! The prices were a bit high but that seems to be the case in Burlington for ethnic food. But for the price at least the food was excellent. Well worth it! I took a chance on this restaurant and will be my go to Japanese restaurant...

Truly fantastic restaurant - good amount of room between tables, clean, nice decor. It has a calm vibe that makes it nice for conversations

As for the food, I can say without any doubt that this place makes the best vegetarian sushi I have ever had and I am definitely a regular sushi eater. Very generous ingredient sizing, and nice quality! The avocado was just right, thats a real challenge in general let alone while not wasting profit. The tempura on rolls was nice and crispy. I noticed this same attention to detail with the free salad - where most restaurants cut costs they went for quality: mixture of greens rather than just iceberg lettuce, with a splash of a few other veggies.

When I was still eating meat, I had the chicken teriyaki and was also extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat - I would have still been impressed at a 5 star restaurant in downtown toronto!

Finally all of this and its not even at a premium price, very very fair especially for the lunch items.

I have a lot of respect for the people running this place, they show a lot of pride in their work, so rare to see in the restaurant...

This was our favourite go to Sushi restaurant, we have been coming here for 7 years but now they are under new management and the menu has changed and our favourite rolls have been changed! We got sushi last night ordered the Volcano Roll and Dynamite Roll, both have been changed and the flavours were not good! So disappointed. To the the new management please stick to the previous recipes for rolls that your keeping on the menu from the previous menu. The Volcano roll did not need to be changed it was fantastic already, what I had last night was inedible my husband forced it down because he spent $20 on the roll and didn’t want it to go to waste. Please go back to the previous recipe! There is a saying “if it’s not broken don’t try to fix it” Kudo used to be amazing now it’s mediocre. Please, please, please stick to the previous recipe the spicy mayo your using is too salty and a dynamite roll had the sweet brown sauce not...

Awful place for food quality and pricing, even under new management. $40 for something that looked like Metro made it for $12.99 and the Miso soup tasted like Chemicals. I can name 6 other bad sushi spots better than this place. Photos below of what we got for $40 and what you can get for under $20 with quality being 5/5. We order Sushi on a regular for over 15 years, and this place is a joke. The Sushi rolls are the size of nickels and not to mention our order gave us both food poisoning. Do yourself a favor, you have a Sushi spot in the Millcroft Plaza and KB Sushi in Oakville. Both worth your $$$ for the quality. This place you might as well light your money on fire in the parking lot. Being blunt. Take my review as you wish. *Tray is Kudo Sushi. Plate photo is somewhere close by, worth your $20! Spicy Salmon Roll (actual size) is $5.50. Kudo Sushi is $7 for the size of a Nickel and poor quality.
