Bank of Canada recently warned of a "low productivity emergency" in this country.
I must say - this local Topper's Pizza outlet excels at this phenomenon.
There is a young lady who works there - and I would describe her as "not quite the epitome of customer service".
I go there on Tuesdays for the Topper's Tuesday promotion - when I can have a large pizza for the entire family for the price of a medium pizza.
When this lady is behind the counter - there is some drama or the other.
"No you won't get a Buffalo Chicken pizza - you will only get Veggies, & Canadiana." "No you can't have a pizza made with gluten free flour" etc
Note 1: All the company's promotional material (picture attached) on their website says is Topper's Tuesday excludes Pepperoni Explosion. That's it. So either the company or the employee - one of them is not speaking the truth.
Note 2: When other employees are behind the counter - I have no problem ordering what I want. Just the previous Tuesday I had a large Buffalo Chicken pizza for the price of a medium. The Tuesday before that - I had a BBQ Chicken.
On top of that - she has this annoying smug look on her face - as if she cannot contain her joy thinking of her "success" in hoodwinking a "gullible" customer.
So, Bank of Canada, you are spot on with regards to Canada's productivity problem!!! Employees like her who avoid their "job responsibilities" are no longer in the minority - they are a...
Read moreWe ordered a Pizza for my girlfriends birthday last night, and asked for a half pepperoni half cheese pizza, for our vegetarian friends. When the pizza finally came, it was full Pepperoni! We called the restaurant as soon as we saw the mistake, and we spoke to head office, and they noticed on our (mine and my girlfriends) end the pizza was correct, but due to a system error in their App and Online Ordering system they messed up the pizza. She told the restaurant to send a large cheese pizza to make up for the mistake. Not even 10 minutes later, the Owner of the restaurant called us back saying that he made it correctly based on the receipt he received on his side and that refused to make the pizza. Totally rude and argumentative!
We called head office again, and the representative who we spoke to earlier, called the restaurant again to tell them to do their job. He still refused to make the pizza they messed up, and wouldn't refund us either for their mistake. We had to order a replacement from a different restaurant at our own expense. This lack of customer service needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY! I'd start with a change of management! Completely...
Read moreMy dad and I order pizza here every week and we've been doing this for years (they know him by name as he usually picks it up!). We've tried countless other takeout & pizza places in Burlington, but none come close to the consistent quality and deals that we get at Toppers- it's hands down our favourite pizza place in Burlington. Because we get the pizza so consistently, there has been two or three occasions (which admittedly is a very low percentage overall) where the crust was still good but just not quite as good as it usually is- which is to say that the crust from Toppers easily beats out all other pizza chains. My family is Italian and we have homemade breads and dough's in my home on a frequent basis, and the Toppers crust is better than our homemade pizza crust. We also enjoy their pizza sauce, which we believe is made with San Marzano tomatoes- the absolute best for Italian sauces. I would recommend looking at the deals they always have on their website- that's what we usually go for and it's always a great deal. My one desire for Toppers in the future is that they get more veggie topping options, such as zucchini and...
