Update
Iâm updating my review for the THIRD time, and Iâm still receiving the same response from you. In this review, I mentioned the delay. Regarding the hygiene issue, as you stated in your reply, âwe can provide you with the video recordings of your order preparation and service process,â I am waiting for the video footage. Until I watch it, I will have no way of knowing what actually happened.
If you carefully read my review, you will see that there is no false accusation about your business. I simply stated that we waited too long and ate a cold meal. I will wait until I watch the video recordings. I havenât commented on what I expect to see in the footage because I will address that after watching it. However, since you are responding with an automated message, you have brought up the hygiene issue yourselves.
Let me say it again: Until I watch the video, my review is only about receiving a cold meal after a long wait. You are free to report this review wherever you like. There is no false or defamatory claim here. However, once I watch the video, I will make my final comment. I am still waiting for your response.
Since I cannot reply to comments, I am leaving another review. In response to my previous comment, you mentioned that you could provide a video of my order being prepared. If you share your email address with me, I will contact you to review these recordings. Otherwise, as a customer, I will take further action and file complaints about hygiene with the necessary authorities. I will not just leave a Google review. Until I watch the video, I will continue with my previous comment because I have not received a response addressing the actual issue. Instead, I was told that if I donât delete my review, they would a complaint against me with Business Calendar. What a professional business!
On Saturday, January 25th, we decided to try Parsley Döner for the first time because we were craving Turkish food. We ordered 1 Iskender, 2 lahmacuns, and some çiÄ köfte. The Iskender was prepared in 2-3 minutes and placed on the counter, where it sat for exactly 22 minutes. Our order number was 150, yet while order 157 was being served, we were still waiting because they had forgotten our lahmacuns.
When the lahmacuns were finally ready, we pointed out that the Iskender had gone cold. They put it in the oven with the yogurt for just a few seconds, but it was still not hot. Then, they gave me back the Iskender plate and told me it was warm.
While the staff argued among themselvesââWhy was the Iskender prepared too early?â âWho forgot the lahmacun?ââwe were still waiting for the meat to be properly heated. (I can even specify which employee said what.) The simple and obvious solution would have been to serve a fresh, hot plate of Iskender, which costs just $21.
By the time they brought us the Iskender for the third time, insisting it was now hot, our lahmacuns had also turned cold. We had no choice but to eat the meal like that. We paid around $70 in total, and this was the most expensive cold meal I have ever had in Vancouver.
We have tried many restaurants, and not once have we been served a cold dish. More importantly, no restaurant has ever tried to convince us that a cold meal was actually hot. The first priority in customer service should be to provide a fresh, hot meal when food goes cold due to a mistake that was not the customerâs fault.
I look forward to your response as soon...
Read moreReally disappointed in these guys today. Their food can be amazing, and their service is usually fine. I don't know what was going on with them today, but check this out:
My partner works near there. She's a busy person and wanted to order ahead so she could be out of there asap. She even threw some extra items so we could have them for dinner. She ordered for pickup through UberEats and ran over to pick it up. When she gets there she asks if her order is ready. Whoever was at the counter looked at her and told her "We have nothing for you" and made a big deal about not receiving her order. Fine, an order didn't get through.
She showed him her receipt on the app and he rolled his eyes, slammed together a soggy wrap missing half the fixings and refused to give her everything she ordered. She ordered 4 pieces of kafta with sauce to bring home for dinner later. He threw one dry piece of the wrong kind of kafta in a small plastic container and tossed it in the bag. To top it all off when she said there was supposed to be bread in there, the guy found the driest piece of old bread, looked straight at her and dropped it on the rest of the food. He was unpardonably rude during the whole order.
My partner bring food back from there all the time, and doesn't usually order through UberEats. Other people were getting fine service ahead of her. She paid the UberEats upcharge, even gave the restaurant a TIP, and they treated her like dirt. I don't know what they have against people ordering for pickup, but good luck running a successful business with that kind...
Read moreI really enjoy the food here. I always order some kind of falafel dish.
Having said that, every time I order something it seems to be different from the last time. Different combinations of sauces and ingredients. Sometimes you luck out and are blessed with a reasonable serving size. But only sometimes. I got a wrap and the person making it plucked out the meekest helping of roasted veggies ; 3 slices of zucchini and pepper.
The staff seems like they need guidance and training. When the person at the till tells them what to make, a look of hopelessness and confusion washes over their faces. Every time Iâve been here, there is uncertainty over what ingredients and how much of each belongs to a dish.
The hygiene practices exhibited also leave a lot to be desired. The last time I came here, the guys were sweaty from the heat of the meat rotisseries. They would be wiping their foreheads and then reaching over each other, struggling to make wraps.
Also, how can there be like 6 people working at once and food still takes forever to be made?
Why do I keep coming back? Like I said, when you get lucky, the food tastes awesome and is better than the other options in this food court. I maintain a hopeful naivety that one day, I will come here and watch the place run like a well oiled machine. I left 3 stars instead of 1 in the spirit of good will. With better training and management I could see this place doing well. Fingers...
