If I could, I would rate this restaurant zero stars. I came here today with my family because of the good reviews and atmosphere, but it was absolutely disappointing, and I hope I don't get sick from this.
I ordered number 20 on the menu. At first, I thought the beef shanks were really dry, but I ate them anyway, thinking it might be due to the slice. However, when I was halfway through eating, I noticed one of the beef shanks looked weirdly green, but I ignored it and kept eating (I should have stopped eating at this point). I took another few bites and found another piece that was also green.
A family member politely asked one of the waiters to come over and take a look. She said it is normal and a common occurrence at their restaurant. She added that other pho places also have green looking cooked beef, but I replied that I have tried many pho places and never seen it before. She also said it is caused by the slicer???? I was speechless. She tried to convince me to do a Google search, and I did. The first result was "if the cooked beef looks green, it is rotten." I showed it to the waitress, and she said I was looking at the wrong source and should check Reddit. I scrolled down on Google and found one Reddit post about cooked beef looking green, which also said it was rotten and not to eat it. I showed her again, but she kept trying to convince me it is normal for cooked meat to be that color and that I shouldn't be concerned. She also said that if I was that concerned, she could have the kitchen cook another bowl. At this point, I was really shocked. I was confused and wondered why she thought I would want another bowl of pho with possibly rotten meat, so I said I didn't want another one. I don't think my response made her happy because she told me she wasn't going to charge me for the bowl with an angry expression (I may be overinterpreting her facial expressions) and walked off quickly.
I really hope I don't get food poisoning from this because the noodles didn't even taste that good. I am never coming back again.
I have added two photos. The orange part of the meat was because it was supposed to be spicy.
I will update if I do get a food poisoning. UPDATE: I had a mild...
Read moreA complete disgrace to the vietnamese community. The food did not deliver. I have came here previously like 2 times before but the lemon grass chicken tasted unique its definitely not authentic. Today just topped the icing, that i will definitely not be coming back.
The rice paper roll with the shrimp is completely dry inside and out. And let me tell you, the peanut sauce does not taste like peanut sauce. No flavor, flat, and tasteless, and very sweet. On top of that, the siracha which is a staple in vietnamese food, does not taste like the one in the rooster bottle. Its like they added something to it or made their own, it doesnt taste good.
The vegetarian spring roll is crispy, great. But the filling is sooo salty and the sauce is super sweet with no flavor so if you put that together. Its horrible.
The beef rib pho “chef special” , also a complete joke. Does not taste like pho. Watered down, no flavour, super sweet. The noodles are chopped off, looks like left over noodles. Broth Tastes completely flat. Actually their phos doesnt taste good here at all. Id rather eat noodles in a cup, taste way better!!
The service was okay at first who took our orders, but then we had another lady helping us out and she was completely dismissive and rude, as well as the other dude who ignored us… there are far better servers who do a great job and willing to have a job in todays economy.
We kindly asked the server to return the deep fried spring roll, which he did. And after tasting the pho we called him again and was not impressed with the pho. He yelled at someone, after cleaning the table. And just completely ignored us. Instead you have a bunch of lousy cooks peaking and looking at our table like they wanna see who’s making all the complaints. Soo instead we just walked out without paying, the server yelled excuse me but i yelled back that food doesn’t taste any good. We did not pay. Not worth our time and effort to drive here. Just a complete waste of space. If you don’t know what authenticity tastes like, this...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant today, and while the food was delicious, the overall experience left much to be desired due to the unacceptable behavior of one of the staff members. The restaurant was not particularly busy, with only a few guests, and there were two servers working—a young woman and a young man. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the female server who attended to us.
From the very beginning, her attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming. When we greeted her, she didn’t even bother to respond. She approached our table with an irritated expression, placed the menus in front of us without a word, and carelessly set down two glasses. She didn’t acknowledge our presence, simply turning around abruptly and walking away. This lack of basic courtesy was surprising and disappointing, but we decided to overlook it initially.
We then moved to another table near the couch because our original table lacked sufficient condiments and sauces (other tables had significantly more). Upon sitting down, we noticed that the new table had spilled liquid on it. We politely asked the server to clean it, as it’s unpleasant to dine at a dirty table. The first time, she completely ignored our request. When we asked a second time, she reacted with visible irritation, behaving rudely and sharply. Is it really too much to ask for a clean table? This level of service is simply unacceptable.
When it came time to pay, her behavior remained consistently rude and dismissive. Throughout our visit, she displayed a deliberately disrespectful and unprofessional attitude, which significantly soured our experience. While the food was enjoyable, the hostile service has left us with no desire to return.
It’s disappointing when staff members allow their personal moods to negatively impact guests. Employees should not make customers feel unwelcome or uncomfortable simply because they are unwilling to perform their duties properly. I hope management addresses this issue, as such behavior tarnishes the reputation of an otherwise good...
