Alibaba Kabob House Inc — Restaurant in Calgary

I ordered the Chicken Platter. I was O.K. but pretty much tasteless. It came with French Fries, rather than roasted potatoes which I like about a platter. The rice is just plain rice, rather than a curried or spiced. The side little "salad" was plain also, and the dressing of it was tasteless. I've ordered the same thing in Kensington as well as the Shwarma down the street and they usually come with roasted potatoes. About $20 overall. I'm a regular at the Shwarma down the road, about a block North but I've seen this place a lot so I thought I'd give it a try. The Chap at the counter was nice and the place is cozy but the platter was pretty much forgettable. I'm not a connoisseur of Shwarma but I like Mediterranean food and this was kinda a poor representation. Over all, maybe not the platters at this place. I can't seeing that I'd venture out on a chilly night just to take something home that's pretty disappointing. Oh, and I'm seeing more of a trend at Shwarma take out places... one person in the place to cook, serve and order from. It seems to be more common and you "REALLY" have to like the food to wait to order above the Door Dash meals ahead of you. Sorry Alibaba, it's the food not the place...

I am a regular customer the man that always works here told me that last time I did not pay him when I came there. I showed him two different transactions from my MasterCard statement that were around the time he said I was in there. He continued to tell me no no no while he shows me multiple times he has no memory. I always pay them right after they give me my food. I am 10000% sure I paid that day as I have a very good memory and can remember the owner charging me that day. Some people eat first and pay later and the owner seems to get confused and angry at long time customers that come 2-3 times a month. They will ask you you what kind of wrap you want 4 times and forget or what kind of toppings you want over and over again but the owner seems to think he has the most amazing memory. I was at this place yesterday and I was blown away by the quality of the food. It was fresh and delicious. The customer service was great. Our cook Mushakh was amazing and helpful as it was my first time here. He made sure everything was how I needed it. When he was preparing my and other customers food he would always change his gloves when dealing with fries and every time he finished preparing a dish. He took his time with every dish cooking it to perfection even as the only cook with a relatively large crowd. All the food was authentic and wonderfully seasoned.
