The person that greeted us was very pleasant. What hit us upon enterring this establishment is how loud it was. We ordered drinks. The beer arrived and i waited for a solid 20 minutes for my cocktail. Beer takes a nano second to pour so it should of been poured last minute and served at the same time as my cocktail. Cocktail was delicious. The meal, croquetas, dry but accompagning sauce very tasty. Also ordered the tuna which we ate after the croquetas and had to request clean plates which should be automatic seeing our plates. We got the "whatever shrug". Ordered the bison parpadelle and the arrabiata. The parpadelle sugo was so thin it did not adhere to the pasta, the bison tasted more like a pork sausage. The arrabiata was so spicy that you couldnt really enjoy it. After 15 yrs in Italy, i am fully aware that arrabiata is meant to be spicy but it really shouldn't be that spicy. My suggestion, tune down the spice and offer a bottle of olio piccante so if people prefer spicier, then they can adjust as to their taste level. Our dirty plates stayed in front of us for 20+ minutes and when i asked out server if he could clear them was told, in a second. Why he could not just remove them then, dont know. Our waiter never checked in on us to see even ask if we were enjoying ourselves. Desert was the white chocolate torte with mixed red fruit compote. Good, think slightly warming the sauce would bring this desert to the next level. Please turn back ground music volume down. Spent the night asking my friend what they had said. Even our iphones told us the noise level was too high. If the music level is high then the people will need to speak louder to hear each other. Overall, i would not return based on my this experience. I understand this to be a new restaurant with numerous kinks to work out, and i hope they do fix them. The setting is nice and the free parking (only if you arrive very...
Read moreGreat food but some of the worst service I’ve ever received. In an absolutely dead restaurant, I asked the server if we could sit over in some booths with nice lighting. They told me no because all of those booths were supposedly reserved (even though no one ever showed). The server/bartender instead seated us beside a wall absolutely cover in bugs. We noticed a few small bugs flying around when we initially sat down but thought nothing of it. However, after our food arrived we notice more and more flying around until we looked over at wall at the end of the booth and it was covered. We decided not to make a scene at the time and thought we would instead tell the server privately after the meal so that someone could take care of the issue without causing alarm or disgust to group sitting at the table beside us. When I told the server/bartender they said “oh yeah I know we’ve been trying to get rid of them for a while”. They decided to sit guests beside a wall cover in bugs?!?!? On top of that it was birthday dinner, which they were aware of because they asked at the beginning of our meal. I was appalled.
Additionally, the actual service was terrible. Was only able to order one drink and after we received our food our server never came back to check on us until 15min after we finished our dishes. Brutal. Especially because there were probably only 3 other tables occupied.
Wish I would’ve spoke to a manager that night but did not want to ruin my birthday dinner which my girlfriend so...
Read moreI was there yesterday, and my experience wasn’t the best. First of all, the service wasn’t very welcoming. The lady working barely smiled and gave the impression that she wasn’t really happy. When I asked if it was possible to substitute the Mushroom Truffle Ragu, she just said no. No further explanation, no follow-up. My plan was actually to have the meatballs with my dish, what you could also hear from my questions. So I ordered the Arrabiata and studied the menu in the meantime.
When the pasta arrived, I thought at first it was a sample – there were maybe 12 noodles (for 20 Bucks !!). It was the smallest portion I’ve ever seen, unfortunately i didnt take a picture. While I was eating, I noticed there was an option to add meatballs, which I hadn’t seen before. I definitely would have added them if I had known. Since I was still genuinely hungry after that meager portion, I ordered the London Fog Crème Brûlée, which was, all in all, more than my pasta and actually really good.
Still, it was a pretty disappointing experience and I’ll probably never go back. I’ve been a server myself for 12 years, so I know what the job entails. I talk to my guests, advise them, explain everything, and even if we don’t have a certain option, I talk to the kitchen to find an alternative. I smile and make sure my guests feel good. I didn’t experience any...
