Was finally able to visit this new Korean Chicken restaurant called bb.q Chicken Lemon in Southland Crossing and it was worth the wait! . The menu is uncomplicated, very unpretentious really but the food was incredible! I’ve visited a few Korean Fried Chicken places in the city but this eatery has got to be one of my favourites. . We had: *Crunch Prawn Stick (4 pcs), $9 - WOWZA and YUMZA! Very flavourful and true to its name, very crunchy! It came with a couple of dipping sauces. I loved the spicy garlicky, aioli type sauce. I didn’t try the other one. *Chicken Fried Rice, $16 - This was good! It was served on a sizzling hot plate. This needs to be eaten right away while hot and we did devour it like there was no tomorrow. *Cheese Bul-Dak, $19 - FIERY but ohhhh so good. I had to stop after a couple of bites. *Golden Fried Chicken, $19 - YUMZA and WOWZA! one of my favourites of the night. It’s the restaurant’s signature chicken dish. Juicy and superbly crunchy! *Soy Garlic Chicken, $20 - WOWZA and YUMZA and my favourite of them all. Perfectly sauced and yet the texture and the crunch and the juiciness of the chicken remained even after a few minutes. *Gangnam Chicken, $20 - YUMZA! The spicy and sweet glaze made this one a winner. *Mala Hot Chicken, $20 - FIERY! The mala sauce was just too much for me! But my friends said it was really good too. *Lemon Cheesling Chicken, $20 - WOWZA and YUMZA! My 3rd favourite of the night. The boneless fried chicken pieces were powdered mascarpone and cheddar cheesling and coated with their signature lemon sauce. *Spicy Dukk-Bokki, $13 - WOWZA! It was spicy too but this one I was able to handle. This was perfectly done. The sauce was very delicious yet restrained. . The lady at the counter was very welcoming and friendly and very efficient. The owners came to our table and both very welcoming. It was almost closing time so even the young cook came out and told us information about the dishes. . Will definitely...

Terrible service! I’ve been here quite a few times now and I always come on Friday after work. There is usually a lady working and she is really good.

Today was very disappointing. They had a super young kid working who seemed to be brand new and have no clue whatsoever how to work in a fast food restaurant. He was super slow taking orders and seemed to have trouble running the till and the payment machine. Poor guy.

Only bad management would have a newbie work by himself on a busy Friday night.

When I walked in, there was only one other person waiting for their take out order and a couple that was still deciding what they wanted to order. So my order should have taken only 15 minutes like usual, but it took 35 minutes and just sat there on the counter for probably about 10 of those minutes.

My food had been up for several minutes and he just kept taking orders at the till. In the meantime, two delivery guys came in to pick up their orders, which were sitting out on the counter and he made them both wait as he watched the couple at the till use the point of sale machine!

Finally, after waiting 35 minutes for 1 order of chicken and 1 order of fries, I went up to the counter and asked for my order which had been sitting there for a while. He apologized, but it didn’t change the fact that the store was left being run by an inexperienced worker and I had waited 20 minutes longer than the usual 15 for my order.

I even gave a tip when I paid at the beginning. I want...

Tried BBq Chicken for the first time today and order several items to get a taste of what they have to offer. My wife order the Rice, and Spicy Dukk Bokki, Fried chicken with two sauces. And I ordered the mozza sticks and the Country Chicken sandwich. First off the mozza stick would likely be better without the added stuff on top. When I order the fried chicken I asked for honey garlic sauce but was told they don't have it? But you can buy fried chicken with it on it? Little confused there like Honey garlic sauce isn't a rare dipping sauce... When I ordered my chicken sandwich I asked for original mayo and was told they didn't have any? Just another thing I thought was very weird. On a plus side the fries chicken was pretty good but would of been nice with Honey garlic sauce. My wife enjoyed here DuKK Bokki. Would I recommend this place? Well there is better options in Calgary for fries chicken that's for sure. One thing is a little crazy... Was 3 dollars for one dipping sauce? Complete rip off. The sauce should be included with the order of wings. Will I be...

I have been loyal customer of the bbq franchise and this location specifically. I'm writing this review because of frustrations that I've had with this location. Cheesling fried chicken is my favorite thing at bbq. But they don't put enough cheesling powder on the chicken. It's very little compared to other locations & the advertised pictures. When I asked for extra, I get charged $3 more. After a few times of this, I stopped ordering my favorite cheesling chicken altogether. Now I started ordering the sauced chicken. I've had a few occasions where the chicken is bare in some places. I'm not asking for a poodle of sauce, I just want the chicken to be covered evenly with enough sauce. One minor experience is I have been forgotten by the waitress twice. You need more staff, at least for busy times. This is my experience of supportting your restaurant for ~ 6 months. Please do better with the seasoning powder + sauce or you will lose loyal customers.
