Cozy and nostalgic! All frontline staff were amazing and very cheerful. I love that they’re open 24hours serving hot and delicious foods. When all the downtown diners were full and had long queue waiting times, I decided to try the Blackfoot diner. The place obviously look like a diner meant for truck drivers that are either visiting the city or just passing through. It looks old and furnitures were a bit outdated. But it adds a feeling of nostalgia and the presence of old jukebox, moving toy train by the ceiling and vintage music made my whole experience even better. I ordered the Working Man’s breakfast which consists of toasts, two eggs, 3 sausages and one large pancake. All of these just for $9.95!! I know their diner is not ‘Instagram-able’ but they have great food and great place to hangout with friends, family or just chill all by yourself. Definitely going back here with my family next time. Update: I went back with my wife and our baby girl. This will be our go-to weekend diner now.

Talk about a throwback to another time. Walked in to a pleasant "Sit anywhere Honey". In my first five minutes in I had a hot cup of coffee in front of me and a list of pies to choose from. I ordered the Lemon Meringue and when it arrived I was worried it would topple the table. Towering over my cup of coffee it was hard to know how to tackle it. The model train passing overhead, pink walls, and well worn furniture immediately had me thinking of truck stops of yore. You know you're in a classic diner when you're called Honey, Sweetie, Hon, and Dear all within minutes from different waitresses. Even more obvious is when you hear someone across the room ordering the liver and onions. I was never left wanting as my coffee was always quick to be filled and a check every few minutes to make sure I was alright. It's certainly not high dining but has a certain appeal that is hard to find nowadays.

Overall, we had a ton of fun. Everyone should visit here at least once; it’s quite an experience. This casual diner is an institution with its combination of truckstop/kitsch factor and typical greasy-spoon comfort food. I think this place is almost always extremely busy – and perhaps a bit understaffed – so be prepared for a possible long wait to be seated as well as to order food. The service staff all try their best, and they have hearts of gold, so be sure to tip them generously. Great coffee and breakfast bagels. I don’t think I’ve ever had pancakes like theirs – light & fluffy but so crispy on the outside! I ordered the famous lemon meringue pie, just because it makes for a very Instagrammable shot, but, as far as taste goes, it wasn’t the greatest as the curd was almost watery. We would return to try the dinner menu because it also looked interesting.

I understand this is a staple for quite a lot of folks. If you’re looking for a blast to the past, and a place with decent ingredients, this will do. However, I came here on people’s recommendations about the well rounded nature of the diner. Its safe to say I was disappointed. The only good point was the servers but even then, the food was just mid tier. Nothing worth writing home about and definitely not worth going out of my way for. We ordered the club and the burger. The sandwich bread was just dempsters and piled in with lettuce. The most heart breaking thing was the limp bacon sitting all flaccid over my burger. Maybe my expectations were too high, but for a breakfast place, I was really hoping for that crispy bacon crunch. Overall, wouldn’t go again but I kept the food down so that’s a win!

An old time Blackfoot landmark. It could use some renos but in away the dated look gives it some nostalgic charm. Classic truckstop meals (nothing fancy but reliable old fashioned burgers, soups, beef dips, etc). My rule: all meals here must end with at least 1 slice of their fantastic pie topped with mile high meringue. I'm always too full to eat the pie there but I oddly always find room once I get home. Mostly booth seating with retro look counter seats at the front. If you're lucky you'll get to see the little train run along it's track suspended from the ceiling looping throughout the restaurant. The ladies serving you are fast and efficient. Lots of parking available, even for the semi drivers, lucky us regular people are welcome here too! :)

I had heard about this place offering a wonderful breakfast so thought I would try it out. Ordered the "Hungry Man Breakfast", which is pictured. It came fairly quickly, tasted wonderful and I would highly recommend it if you are hungry! The servers were very attentive, friendly, and clearly experienced. Coffee was refilled several times without having to ask. The decor is the place is getting dated, tables as you see in the image are clearly worn down, but the decor isn't why you visit this diner - it's the food and service, which are both top notch. The clientele is mostly male/truck drivers. If I ever need a hearty breakfast again, I'll be sure to return. With 15% tip, came to $20.01 all in. Highly recommended.
