I wish I could give a zero, but here we go. On Friday, April 19th, at about 11:00 a.m, I encountered the most horrendous customer service experience I have ever had the displeasure of enduring. The cashier, an older middle-aged blonde woman, verbally attacked myself and my children, in front of a store full of people. As I apologized profusely that my toddler had grabbed a pair of tongs while I was not looking (which I immediately took away before he could touch any food), the cashier loudly proclaimed, "This is why some people shouldn't have children." and repeatedly asked me if I was blind or "just stupid." As soon as I got to my car, I broke down in to tears, while another customer who witnessed the incident followed me out to let me know that what the cashier was saying was not true, or okay (the verbal abuse was so bad that other customers were shaken just witnessing it). I have never been spoken to so rudely by another human being, let alone someone in a customer service position. Upon reading the reviews, I can see that multiple other customers have given 1-star reviews based solely on the behavior of this same cashier, who is racist, speaks down to customers, and is unkind to children. The incident has been reported to Bulk Barn's head office. Yesterday i visited this location after grocery shopping at Walmart, as we entered this store my little daughter was holding on to some "sneaky stardust bubble gum" that we got at Walmart. When we went to to the cashier, our little one was excited seeing chocolates at the cash counter and started to pick them from the shelves, my wife was taking them from my daughter and putting them back in the shelves. As i was paying the bill, the cashier asked if i was going to buy any chocolate for my little one, i said NO, im not Buying her anything here. I finished paying and we were leaving, the cashier was sneaking behond us and checking if we were stealing anything and then she interrupted us and asked if the stuff that my daughter was holding was purchased at another store? I said yes we got it at Walmart. First of all this stuff that my daughter was holding on on is not available in this store, and dont the staff at bulk Barn know about what inventory does your store Carry? There was no excuse or apology from this teenage cashier, this happened yesterday , July 21 at 7:20pm. Read moreI have a lot of Christmas baking to do and figured I would get a lot of my items here. I walked in at 7:22pm and at 7:45pm I had an associate tell me I only had 15min. As I am trying to go through my list of things I am baking I had the two female associates trying to push me out the door. I decided to just get what I had and leave as I don't appreciate being rushed. As I get to the checkout they weren't very pleasant. I had one associate standing right next to me waiting to take the basket I was using. I had a bag and 1 asked me if I wanted to purchase a bag and I didn't get a chance to answer when I had the next one ask me the same question as if I didn't hear her. I left with them both saying have a merry Christmas in a sarcastic tone. I think they both need some customer service training. I left the store with 8 minutes left until they closed.
