I have been to this restaurant several times prior to this last visit. Really enjoyed it. I looked forward to this meal because I haven't had pho for months since I've been away. I ordered satay beef pho. Noodles were mush and broth was not the same. Didn't eat much of it. When I mentioned how inedible the noodles were I was told that they were using different type of noodles and sometimes they are mushy. Too bad for me. That is not the response I would expect. Stomach problems all night. So disappointed. Never again Don't know why I tipped LOL

Update April 2024 I have been back a couple of times since my last review, it was good. However, today, I ordered a small #28, my usual. When the order came, the noodles were a amalgamated huge lump in the bowl. I couldn't loosen most of the noodles so picked up the lump and placed in the plate with bean sprouts. I picked off what I could to put back in the broth. Broth was ok but has been better. Waitress was rude and argued about the quasi hot tea of which I was never offered a refill. She said that she would let the cook know about the noodles, but never offered a discount or anything... Ah well. This restaurant is inconsistent and there are so many great and better places out there that I guess I will move on. As the saying goes " fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice,...

I have been a customer for that location since a year ago and I do enjoy their food and how it taste compare to other PHO places that I tried in BC, ON, MB.. However, their staff really has an issue and it happened to me few times and I thought it is just one time or minor thing, but I really need to express that, the staff always in Rush taking their customers orders over the phone in very Rush way and they want to finish the conversation as soon as...I dont understand what is the Rush for??.. specially all businesses now are slowing down.. I ordered 2 PHO soups and 1 appetizer, went to pick up, after paying and waiting over 20 minutes, even i placed my order 30 minutes before pickup, I left the store and realized that i paid extra $15 dollars. I went back and asked why i paid extra, I found that they give me 3 soups: 2 for the same kind, except one is a spice flavor, which i asked for. I realized that they just did not hear me correctly when I asked for that soup to be Spice instead of regular flavor..to correct and get refund another 10 minutes as they machine doesnt accept refund after 3 tries, end up with cash...what a really wasting time for simple phone order for pickup... Hope the owner can address this continues issue with...

Honestly, just go somewhere else. I typically do not write negative reviews about small businesses, but this one really sucked. I wanted to have a bite after a long day, my husband and I decided to give this place a go. It was busy so we assumed it would be a good place to have dinner. We were not greeted nor welcomed, it was also our first time in the restaurant. The noodles in the pho were overcooked and the broth was so thick, my husband asked that his be replaced with something he's willing to eat, but the Asian man working said you ate all the meat, I didn't eat meat out of mine so I offered to switch mine out, but he said no and that we'd get charged for both portions. We didn't expect anything for free first of all, but also didn't expect that kind of attitude. Secondly, the restaurant isn't even clean, we weren't even served water or given sprouts for our Pho. It looks good from the outside but dirty on the inside, it took the worker 20 minutes to clear a table and staff do not have good...

I ordered two soups for takeout this evening with an order of shrimp and beef salad rolls. Both of the soups were missing the garnishes they were supposed to come with. There was no onion, no cilantro and no spices that are normally in the soups. They tasted very bland and gross, we had to throw them out. My family owns a vietnamese restaurant so I know what good pho should taste like and it's missing all the things that make the soup great! Also, when I went in to pick up the soups, the lady tried charging me for small chilly oil. I asked her why she was charging me, they don't charge me for it when I eat in, so why are they charging me for it when I order takeout? I've been a long time customer of this restaurant, even since it opened. I think you need to hire more staff during your busy hours or hire people who pay more attention to the details or you might lose loyal customers.

I’ve been ordering from Pohan for nearly a decade as well as a Royal Oak location and find they are historically the most consistent restaurant in the Simmons Valley area. However, late, I’ve been very disappointed with the quantity shrimp or seafood when ordering seafood dishes. The last three times we’ve ordered our preferred vermicelli dish which consist of pork chicken and shrimp myself and my wife have each got two shrimps in it. Today we joked about asking for extra shrimp for an additional five dollar cost and I’m sure glad we didn’t because I feel they probably give you one or two more max. I hope they read this and I hope they fix it adding more shrimp or renaming the dish to “ One pork chicken and two shrimp”
