Update: The mangment reached me out and offered me a refund or a desert on the house! They said they talked to the staff and Coach them. I hope other people will see some change.
Thank you and not interested in your offer.
It is so funny how within the night they boost the rating with à jump from 4.5 to 4.7. Instead of fake the reviews you are making it up, work on your staff and the quality of the food. You are misleading people!
My Review: I am so disappointed and I feel really bad to leave such a review for my favorite place. Usually we visit the D Spot in the 17 Ave SW and were never disappointed there even in the worst of Covid restrictions. This is going to be my last visit to this branch, despite being one of my first. The staff were very rude. The burger and hotdog were extremely dry, as well as tasteless. When we asked for basic toppings, they said we had to pay extra for them. As if they were premium items. When I complained, the person in charge told us; "We told you to pay extra for the piece of lettuce and tomatoes because we will be in trouble if we add it at no extra charge." I paid 15 $ for dry meat and a bun and they will be in trouble to fix it! I asked if there was any special sauce to add and she said no. The minute I turned my back they were talking and looking at us, I felt so bad and decided to leave without taking the new one. I tried to talk to her and point out we are leaving because of the attitude and she was like "ya ya I am sorry you didn't like it we tried to make it right, but you just don't want that." I think the management needs to improve the customer services and their food. However, I have tried out their desserts once, and they are not as disastrous. But in the end, I'd take the 17th Ave location in...
Read moreIf you’re looking for the ultimate dessert spot, D Spot Café is where it’s at. I stopped by recently and had such an amazing time—I’m still thinking about the desserts! The entire place gives off warm, cozy vibes, and the sweet smell that hits you when you walk in is enough to make anyone smile.
Let’s talk about the desserts. I tried the For the Love of Rocher Cookie Skillet, and it was insane—gooey, chocolatey, packed with hazelnut flavour, and served warm in a skillet with ice cream melting on top. Literal heaven. Then there was the Nutty Cocoa Crêpe—thin and soft with the perfect amount of Nutella, crushed nuts, and a creamy filling that was honestly addictive. And of course, the Cozy & Comfy Funnel Cake—crispy, sweet, dusted in powdered sugar and topped with strawberries and chocolate drizzle. It was like the best part of the fair, but even better.
Their menu is a dessert lover’s paradise. Brownie skillets, waffles, milkshakes, cheesecakes, cookie dough, sundaes—you name it, they’ve made it more epic. Everything is made to look and taste incredible.
And I have to give a special shoutout to Nomey, one of the employees who helped me during my visit. She was so kind, energetic, and welcoming. She really made the experience extra special—answered all my questions, made great recommendations, and just had such a positive vibe. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and loves working there.
D Spot isn’t just a dessert café—it’s a whole experience. Whether you’re out with friends, on a sweet date night, or treating yourself (which you should), this is the perfect place to go. I can’t wait to come back and...
Read moreFun place with a massive menu with so many options. We took our son for his family birthday dessert and he got the banana split and the kid in me milk shake with birthday cake ice cream and cotton candy. He had fun with the sauce syringes in the banana split. His big smile and chocolate goatee proves the positive experience.
All the staff were extremely friendly, engaging, and patient as we took our time exploring the menu and offered to take our picture.
We came during a warm weekday evening and it was busy. Servers apologized for delays but honestly we were in no rush and were enjoying family time.
An ice coffee was missed on our order, but we didn’t miss it with the big portions, and it didn’t show up on the bill so honest mistake with the dine in crowd volume at the time. We mentioned it to our server for information only, no big deal, we would’ve reordered it if we really wanted it, she apologized, and life goes on. Lol. Very professional.
We also had the lava cake and the red velvet cheesecake. The orange strawberry mojito was a nice pairing with the lava cake. I think I liked my drink more than the dessert, but after a pretty big birthday dinner, we were there only so our son could finish his birthday off with his choice of dessert, and we all had fun.
Keep up the great work, and continue with the warm smiles and inviting...
