Chopped Leaf — Restaurant in Calgary

I showed up today to order some food and the worker that was there, was scrolling on his phone. He saw me and asked to take my order. He then decided to use only one glove and DIDN'T wash his hands. Then he started to roll the wrap, with both hands, getting all over the food. One glove, NOT washed. I was sick looking at it. I immediately asked for my money back and left. This is not acceptable standards for any place that serves food. Can you imagine what is going on in the kitchen where customers can't see the food being prepped?? Did he go to the washroom before I entered the store, used his phone and didnt wash his hands while making my wrap??? YUCK. The manager should really review what's going on at this location - and be embarrassed that this worker is running shop. No one should be eating from here, especially when workers are not adhering to health food guidelines - NOT washing their hands or using gloves when...

The food at all Chopped Leafs is pretty great, but I will not be going to this location again. Don't come here if they're close to closing hours – they don't want your business.

I went there with a friend half an hour before closing one day and this place was unable to make any of the sandwiches because they had already shut down the oven (or whatever it is that heats the sammies up). Also, when we came in all the chairs had already been stacked and I actually wondered if I had incorrectly read the closing hours.

Their excuse for all this was that it had been dead all day so they didn't expect anyone else. I would understand if it was maybe 10 minutes prior to closing, but not 30-35 minutes. So I wasn't able to order what I wanted and we didn't feel like we were even welcome to sit...

Great food! Feel good about what you eat and enjoy the taste of fresh healthy food. I enjoy everything there but my favourites are the whole bowls, chopped signature wrap, and wild mushrooom chowder soup.

Also, amazing staff. My truck doors all autolocked after I put my son in his car seat after eating there. It was during a cold snap, -20C out and I was quite panicked. They let me borrow their phone to call AMA, and gave me some fruit infused water while I anxiously waited. When we finally got the doors unlocked, a staff member ran out and gave us a bowl of soup to warm us up after a traumatic 30 minutes!
