I'm visiting from out of province and was looking for something fresh to eat for lunch. I noticed the Mucho Burrito (Sage Hill) when I drove by, so I decided to put in an online order for pickup. I received a confirmation text stating that I would get a text when my order was ready. I ran into a store nearby while I waited. When I didn't receive a text, I walked over.
I greeted the guy behind the counter and said that I was there to pick up my online order. He said he never received one.
Perplexed, I told him that I had paid for it. He keeps insisting that he never received an order. I showed him my confirmation text. He states that it's from a different location. He says there's two Sage Hill locations and it's the other one. I tell him I'm from out of town and I don't know where "the other one" is.
I'm a little confused because only one Sage Hill location showed up as an option, and it was 0.2km away, which would make it this location.
I pull up my online MasterCard statement which clearly shows that I just made a $16 payment to Mucho Burrito. He looks at the location's code, then looks at his machine.
He says, "That's here."
He then proceeds to go into the garbage can and pull out a receipt with my name on it. He asks "Is that you?". I confirm that it is. He says "OK. What did you order?".
Now I'm angry.
I ask him why the receipt with my order is in the garbage. He says something about changing the roll of paper. Then asks me what I had ordered.
Had it not been for the fact that it was already on my card and I was famished, I would have walked out.
He proceeds to make my bowl, which I later realized that he didn't wash his hands first after fishing around in the garbage can.
I had originally asked for rice and lettuce, but when he pulls out a tub of very rusty romaine, I tell him to forget about the lettuce.
The refried beans have a crust on the top and he gives me a few measly vegetables, because that's what was left in the pan. When I ask if he has more vegetables, he says he can cook some for me. I told him I would appreciate it.
He gives me a fork, putting his hand on the part you eat with, which I did not use.
I will definitely not be returning to...
Read moreOur family’s recent visit to Mucho Burrito was transformed from a simple meal into a truly memorable experience, all thanks to the exceptional service and thoughtful recommendations of Pranav.
From the moment we walked in, Pranav’s warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for our visit. He took the time to understand our tastes and, with a sparkle in his eye, suggested we try the Spiced Mercado Fries with Creamy Queso. His recommendation was spot-on—the fries were a delicious revelation, perfectly spiced and complemented by the rich, velvety queso. It’s clear Pranav knows the menu inside and out and takes pride in helping guests discover new favorites.
But what truly set Pranav apart was his attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our family felt valued. He checked in with us just the right amount, making sure everything was perfect, and his friendly conversation made us feel right at home. Thanks to Pranav, our meal was more than just food—it was an experience we’ll remember fondly.
Thank you, Pranav, for your outstanding service, excellent taste, and for making our family’s visit to Mucho Burrito so special. Clearing table swiftly for us by window side, really touched our heart :-) You are a true ambassador for hospitality, and we look forward to coming back—especially for those amazing Spiced...
Read moreWent in, went to the counter, ordered my items. I asked the cashier to add a 15% tip, (people don't usually tip on take out of fast food) but I was just being nice and am usually considerate. I tapped my credit card, she didn't give receipt citing printer not working, I insisted on the receipt and put in my pocket without seeing, and took my $ 20 item and came back Home. Looked at my transaction notification and noticed a 15 dollar tip. Now who tips 150 % (20 dollar food and a 15 bucks tip) on a pick up of a take out order ? Otherwise any cashier would apply common sense and not have a 150/100% tip. I called and instead of being sorry they tell me to come to the store to get "the refund " of the excess tip and waste my time to go the store and then at the store his words were "no problem " instead of a sorry lol . Never again at this store with the way they make the mistake and deal with their mistake and use the lingo and asks a customer to waste his time to correct their mistake. I will rather to the small businesses in the area who value and appreciate my business . The ambience is good otherwise as the store looks...
