I was excited a Deville was opening in this area, but disappointed to see that they are using automatic espresso machines similar to what you would get at a vending machine or some Starbucks' as opposed to a handcrafted barista made beverage. Maybe it's a new advancement in the company, but the prices reflect the same as if it was hand pulled & freshly ground espresso and the taste also suffers significantly in my opinion. Hopefully this is just temporary (maybe the machines are in transit!), but until real espresso machines come in Neighbour is by far the better option in the area.

Read moreOh Deville, it's always a lovely experience coming into any Deville location, for me. I have been here during the datien for coffee and pastries, I've been here for a lunch tea and most recently I went here at 5pm for an evening tea. All great experiences with great customer service.
This place has always been busy, even around 5 pm there are a few tables taken up. But I have always found a seat. Like all Devilles, this one has a gorgeous atmosphere, lots of natural wood decor and a couple of bench seats with throw pillows.

However one of the baristas here (date: on January 31, around 4.15pm, there was two folks, this one specifically goes to the grumpy one who was at the till), had such a bad attitude when serving customers, as if it’s an inconvenience. My chai latte was good, however my tuna sandwich which I paid over 10 dollars was the worst sandwich I ever had, it was microwaved and soggy and was falling to bits, tasted nothing really. What a shame!!! Not planning to go to this...
