I recently visited Fuji Ramen and Sushi and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food, the hospitality, and the overall atmosphere exceeded my expectations.
First and foremost, the food at Fuji Ramen and Sushi was absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of trying their ramen, and I was blown away by its creamy richness and delicious flavors. The broth was perfectly seasoned, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. It was a truly satisfying and comforting bowl of ramen. In addition to the ramen, I also indulged in their Nigri, which was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The combination of the ramen and sushi options made for a diverse and fulfilling dining experience.
What truly sets Fuji Ramen and Sushi apart is their exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they served. They were more than willing to answer any questions I had and provide recommendations based on my preferences. Their attentiveness and genuine care made me feel valued as a customer, and I truly appreciated their efforts. They go above and beyond for the kids that come to their restaurant

Read moreFuji was a joy to dine at. I came here with my 3 children and got lucky to find a table. The restaurant is small and with COVID restrictions, seating is even more limited. However, it was worth it.
We were greeting by a friendly host upon entering and got lucky to get a table. Since taking over from the previous sushi restaurant, the renovations made a whole world of difference here. Not only are the lines clean and modern, but the whole place is brighter and seems larger than it actually is.
The menu has a good variety, and prices are reasonable. The food was fantastic, the sushi was well made, and didn't disassemble when you picked it up, unlike some other establishments. The portions were also pretty good, with a good rice to fish ratio. The ramen is also one of the better places in YYC, especially in the south part of the city. Presentation of the ramen was excellent, my kids really enjoyed the ramen. One of my kids also had the kids bento box, and is an excellent value. Generous portions of rice and beef, as well, a nice salad and a good helping of cucumber rolls and tomago.
The staff were also amazing, very attentive and sublimely polite. COVID protocols are spot on here. We were there about an hour, and during that time we observed the front waiting area being sanitized at least twice, as well as everytime a customer came for a pickup. There are also plastic barriers installed between each table, and tables are spaced out very well. When they clean the table after use, I noticed that they took their time to make sure it's cleaned thoroughly.
Parking is abundant and the washrooms are also immaculate and well stocked.
We will definitely be enjoying more meals here...
Read moreJust went on my lunch break. It was busy for just opening at 12. Been there a few times. Last time I was there, I got the wrong soup because I guess I ticked it off on the sheet but when they reviewed my order it sounded right at the time. When it did come it was a seafood soup vs the pork I wanted. Also cost more than the soup I actually wanted.. Instead of asking or offering the one I wanted they doubled down on the fact I ticked this one off, maybe I’m too polite and just accepted my fate when I should’ve refused to take that one because I didn’t enjoy as much as I wanted/ didn’t satisfy the craving I had.
This time I order Ramen again, some rolls and one of their gunkan dishes. I got the right soup this time, came after 20 mins, after another 20-25 mins my sushi came. I had to double take and question what I ordered, it was completely wrong. I can be patient for my food which I believe I was but I was on a lunch break, they were going to remake my order but by the time I told the server it was wrong I had to leave and never got my sushi which was what I was looking forward too more than the ramen.
The food is good when it’s right. Servers are polite but there has been communication errors along the way of placing my order and receiving them these past few times.
I might try going again but I think they really have to work on ensuring they are ringing stuff in correctly and not double down against what the customer says.
I don’t go out to get ramen or sushi often because it has increased a lot in price over the past few years so this is one of the last experiences I will remember that will be tied to trying to treat myself to...
