Madison's 1212 is an evening restaurant/lounge looking to extend their offering to include breakfast. We arrived Sunday morning to find club music pumping bass, the floors with scraps of food / garbage, and our booth seats sticky from the night before. Not a good start, nor a welcoming environment for breakfast. This is reason that Madison's 1212 doesnt earn a 5 star review: poor ambience takes so much away from the dining experience. We were the only customers in the restaurant for most of our visit, and received prompt, friendly, and well-timed service - all of our needs were met. Especially appreciated the capable, casual-friendly attitude; felt quite welcome and at-home. The menu has fewer choices than other breakfast places, but the options are all well thought-out and appealing. The perogie hash was a combination of comfort food and fresh ingredients: perfect for a lazy morning. The huevos rancheros were outstanding: served on a bed of nacho chips, with a tart/spicy guacamole and just the right amount of toppings: they were a unique take on a breakfast standard that worked perfectly! Warning: the coffee is dark, thick, and strong. Plan your milk and sugar accordingly if this matters to you. Prices were fair, and portion sizes were just right. One awkward note: the default tip on the payment machine is set to 18%. This is a little misleading and presumptuous. All in all: would come again for the food and the service.

Went recently with friends. We ordered jackfruit potato hash (vegan), fireside nachos and few lattes. I only tasted vegan nachos which I found okayish in taste and presentation. The fireside nachos looked yummy and those who tasted that definitely liked it better especially the cinnamon flavors and marshmallows. Coffee was similar to any other place. Would like to taste their cocktail drinks and few other items on the menu. Ambience was great, found portion size a little smaller than usual. We went right after the COVID19 lockdown and entire order was made online (after going to the place). The waiter came to greet, served water and explained how order is to be made. The system had some technical glitches and it took us a while to figure out. Once order was made, items arrived in awhile and waiter came twice or thrice to ask about how we found the food. Payment was also done through machine where waiter goes to each and everyone of us on the table. Only concern is if for everything waiter was right by the table, why not take the order directly as well. Would save so much time! Or to maintain social distancing, have an option of ordering through their app beforehand and then allow for dine-in at the scheduled time maybe?

It was packed but wait time was only 10 minutes for a nice outdoor patio spot in the cool May breeze under the sun. Very cool vibes here from the staff and unique global fare that is a simple choice between craft nachos, tacos, and poke or salad bowls. It unfortunately took about 15 minutes to even get a drink order in as it seemed no one was really assigned to our table, but once our order was in the drinks and food quality were solid. The vegan Mac & Cheese was voted our table favorite, while the chicken tacos came in second with its light ingredients and bright refreshing dressing, and the perogi nachos were also great. Would come back for the cool outdoor spot and for snacking with friends. Free two hour street parking just west around the corner.

The food is amazing but the experience was not. We came to Madisons on Saturday to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and my birthday. I have been here many times in the past and always had a great time. The game plan was to drink a bunch of mimosas and have nachos to celebrate. We had a reservation and when we were sat, we were advised of the new ordering system that was being piloted but if we preferred traditional service, that was an option too. We opted to use the online ordering system, as I work in technology and pretty interested to see how it would pan out. It was initially somewhat successful but it quickly went down hill.

The ordering system's UI was clunky and slow. It would redirect to the main menu every time a menu item was added to the order. Completing the order wasn't initially clear and delayed actually submitted our order at first. The "help" feature directed you to a 1-888 number which I'm fairly certain was a direct line to the restaurant. About 10-15 minutes in, there seemed to be an issue with an order or the system which caused the host/manager to spend the entirety of our remaining time there clicking around the tablet and computer trying to sort it out. The servers didn't seem to have a section and seemed frantic which was odd considering it wasn't a full house. They only checked in us once and all other times we had to flag someone down. Because of this, we were unable to opt for the traditional service mentioned when we sat down... Our drinks started to take 10, 15, 20+ minutes to arrive. Our dirty plates stayed on our table for considerable amount of time. Our last drink order just never came. After a little over two hours and three $1.50 mimosas each we decided to just leave. After flagging down a server, I requested a bill and was met with a vauge head nod. She never returned. I went up to the host/manager and requested my bill (who was still trying to sort the system issue), less the last two drinks that never came. It was awkward to tip but still felt obligated - not only did I put in all the orders, the remaining aspects of service from the restaurant (engagement, timeliness, friendliness) were abysmal. I felt for the staff because they seemed overwhelmed. Technology should be enabling an experience, not hindering it.

All in all, this really killed the vibe for the rest of the day. I would not recommend coming here if you have a milestone to celebrate. I really hope they go back to traditional service before the restaurant's reputation is cemented in poor experience. We will not be back nor will this place be a top spot for recommendations until this ordering system is sent out to the...

My recent visit to Madison's restaurant was an overall positive experience, earning a solid four stars from me for several reasons.

Let's start with the food. While the quality was good, I found that the portions left me wanting a bit more. The flavors were enjoyable, but a heartier serving would have elevated the dining experience. Therefore, I'm giving the food a respectable three stars.

The drink selection was varied and interesting, but I couldn't help but notice that the beverages were often overshadowed by excessive ice. It seemed that the drinks were mostly filled with ice, leaving me with less actual drink content. This was a minor inconvenience and affected my overall satisfaction, warranting another three-star rating for the drinks.

Now, on to the highlights of my experience – the customer service, ambiance, and location. The staff at Madison's demonstrated exceptional customer service. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Their commitment to customer satisfaction deserves a solid five stars.

The ambiance of the restaurant is truly noteworthy. Madison's provides a comfortable and stylish setting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for diners. The decor, lighting, and overall aesthetic contribute to a sophisticated and enjoyable dining environment, earning a well-deserved five stars.

Lastly, the location is superb. Madison's is situated in a prime spot, adding to the overall appeal of the dining experience. The convenience and accessibility of the restaurant make it an excellent choice for locals and visitors alike, deserving another five stars.

In conclusion, while there were some minor drawbacks in terms of food portions and drink presentation, Madison's restaurant excels in customer service, ambiance, and location. I would recommend this establishment for those seeking a delightful dining experience with a touch of sophistication. Four stars...

We’re residents of Inglewood and just love the food scene here. Madi’s has some wonderful items on their menu which we’ve sampled 2 out of the 4 times we went there. The other two times we went there, we were treated so poorly that we just decided to lease. The last time we did go in(5th time), was a couple of days ago at about 7:30 on a Monday evening. It was very warm and the patio was pretty much empty (maybe 3 out of the 10-15 tables were occupied) which was one of the reasons we stopped there. We asked to sit on the patio and we were told there’s a 15 min to 1/2 hr wait. I looked at the patio again (all nice and sunny with very few patrons there) and was told again that we’d have to wait at the two chairs at the entrance - dark, in the way, and kind of embarrassing when people walk by us. After a couple of minutes I asked again if we could just wait at one of the tables outside and was told that unless we had a reservation, we couldn’t go out because there was only “two of us working”!?!! Wut? I suggested that we just wanted to sit out there, in the nice evening and we could wait until you’re ready to serve us and she was unwilling to “allow” us onto the patio. We did wait because we do want to support local and after about 20 mins we were sat. We are used to the food taking forever to come out at this restaurant, but could easily have been compensated by just letting us have a seat - which was pretty much the same situation as the times we decided to leave. After the meal, we ended up talking to our server who convinced us to “try us again” and that “we were understaffed”, I told her we would, but I’m not sure I wanted to be treated like that. In the meantime, as anyone would do when experiencing something like that, we talked to the staff, wrote a review, and told our neighbours and friends. If this is a “policy” of yours, please...
