The Pros: Loved the atmosphere! It's in and old firehouse and they absolutely kept the vibe which we loved. The food was standard fare and the prices were decent. The Cons: The service left a lot to be desired, but the waitresses seem to acknowledge that it's subpar and go with it. At the end of the night without asking they took my wife's water well before even the five minute call, nice way to look after your patrons who have been drinking. This was also the first time we've had the pleasure of being "whistled out" of a bar. I know we were ALL the way upstairs (if you don't want to go up all 16 stairs close it off) but honestly that's what capped off our experience, and made our decision to leave the Hose and Hound out of our regular rotation an easy one. With so many options in trendy / hipster Inglewood we certainly won't rush back.

The hose & hound has been a favourite of mine for many years. Most recently during the covid period, they have re painted & Renovated a lot of the interior & kitchen. We were completely Blown away by the quality of the food. Particularly the dry ribs & French fries are to die for! Oner other favourites was the Yorkshire Pudding with horse radish mayo, absolutely delicious. We enjoyed half price bottles of wine on Thursdays, & there are some decent wines! The staff is awesome, they follow the covid rules, and it is a great establishment to enjoy a night out with friends or family! Highly recommended.

Over all great first impression from Hose and Hound. Atmosphere is very nice and bright with a few of flat screens with sports on. The food is where it's at, I enjoyed my fish and chips and my wife liked her spinach dip. The Fish pieces are a decent size compared to other's I've had in Calgary. Only bad things I've got to say are one the price for a glass of fountain pop being 5 bucks?? Wow is all I can say... And the washroom is very small couldn't imagine drinking to heavy here. Would I recommend coming here yeah give her a try food and service is pretty good.

Me and 4 friends went here on Wednesday night for wing Wednesday. The place looked fun and welcoming. We sat ourselves upstairs and waited to be served. We waited about 10 minutes and didn’t receive any service. Finally a server came over but cleaned the table beside us and looked up at our group. She proceeded to sigh “great, you guys are going to have to wait” and then walked away without cleaning the table she originally was going to. We waited and still no one came over. So we decided to move to a table downstairs for better service. Once downstairs, we chose a table and brought over another chair to accommodate our group. We were then stopped by a different server that snapped at us and said “you can’t move that chair there, this is a walking path”. We apologized and relocated to a back corner table still in her section and borrowed a chair from a table with 2 men who weren’t using the extra 2 chairs they had. There was lots of room and the extra chair was not in the way of anyone/servers. As we moved the chair my friend noticed the waitress staring at us so he asked if it was alright that we moved the chair this time. She again snapped and said “Do I have a choice? You are already moving it.” I understand the frustration of moving chairs, if it was not ok she could have just said so nicely. We decided to leave due to the extremely poor service and one group member only had a photo of their ID (which the server rudely said she couldn’t validate yet they do not scan IDs here and it was clearly a photo of the ID on a table). I am an understanding person yet I felt the service was extremely rude and quite frankly unacceptable. We will not...

Been here twice whilst on holiday. The first time we were here the service was great and the food was good and fast, the waitress was a delight. So we decided to eat here again, this time we had a different waitress who was very different to our previous waitress, nothing but a "yep" when taking our orders, the food then came within a reasonable amount of time, I ordered the firehall burger which arrived with a HAIR in it, I told the waitress and she took it away and my replacement meal arrived after 30 minutes. With no mention of some sort of discount on the meal because of the problem and the wait. The replacement burger was cooked well and tasted good. We then noticed that our waitress hadn't been round to ask if we needed more drinks (which we did) and we noticed her casually chatting to customers, she continued to talk to these same customers for a good 20 minutes, she finally came round to ask if we needed more drinks, so we ordered them, drank them and then asked for the bill. She arrived with the bill and we split it 3 ways as there were 3 of us, I paid with card and the people with me paid cash, she returned with change for one of my friends (and had taken a 2 dollar tip out of it) but not the other friend (which was about 4 dollars) we had agreed not to tip because of the rude and slow service we had received (it is very rare for us not to tip) we then asked her for the 4 dollars in change she had neglected to give my friend and she did so without any eye contact and when we said goodbye she remained silent.

Put all 3 of us...
