I've gone to this mall for years & have tried most restaurants at least once, but always stuck to my staple spot (hint: It's next door), but never tried Mia Pasta until yesterday.
The employee (didn't catch a name) was prompt & helpful & most importantly, the food was excellent. I got Mac & Cheese with Penne noodles & mild spice, and it was delicious. Also comes with a small piece of garlic bread and the bread (artisan?) they used was really good!
I also grabbed a Tiramisu (they had chocolate cake of some sort, but it was frozen in the back). The employee kindly offered to grab one but mentioned it would need to thawed out. I figured It'd be easier all around just to stick with what was ready to go) which was fresh & tasty as I like coffee, but I don't prefer it in desserts & normally wouldn't get it. It was good though, and if you like Tiramisu, I would highly recommend it.
A normal size Mac & Cheese (comes with small piece of garlic bread, as mentioned above) with a bottle of coke (they also have fountain drinks) & Tiramisu (which was a big piece), with tip, came to $25.
The price is a bit high for the food court, and you do have to wait a bit, but the food is prepared right in front of you, everything is made fresh, the food came out hot & really good (the dessert nice & cold & fresh) and I was full afterwards.
I'll stick to my usual spot when I visit to snarf down some chicken, rice & veg, and grab Mia Pasta for the days when I want restaurant-quality food that has a lot of taste! I throughly enjoyed it & it was a great...
Read moreI’ve worked at the mall for many years, and every day when I go for my break I come here—EVERY DAY, NO EXCEPTIONS!
The food, simply put, is amazing. There is massive variety in what pasta you can choose, making Mia Pasta a great place to return to time and time again without it ever feeling “same”-y. It tastes like delicious homemade pasta and it’s ready in only a few minutes, which is not only pretty speedy, but also unlike a lot of other food places, I don’t feel gross, greasy, or bloated after having Mia Pasta for lunch since it’s all freshly cooked. Speaking of which, it’s made freshly in front of you, which is fun to watch and also helps pass the couple minutes of time you spend waiting for it and it’s also very reasonably priced for todays standards!
The staff that works here at the Southcenter mall location never fails to make my day a more positive one. In particular, Mike is always there to greet me, and he is always extremely friendly, quick-witted, and fast when it comes to getting my pasta ready! He’s always great about asking how my day is and striking up a conversation while he simultaneously exercises enjoyable showmanship while cooking my pasta.
I highly recommend giving Mike and Mia Pasta a visit next time you’re in Southcentre mall, you...
Read moreUpsetting first time experience here. I was very excited to try the menu as their options looked delicious. The food was good, that wasn't the issue. Unfortunately, two people who ordered after me got their food prepared and completed before my order even got started. So my wait time was close to 20 minutes.
I was frustrated and asked the blonde haired cashier with glasses who took my order, why the other people got their order before me. She was incredibly rude and answered I just got here and I don't know how the others organize the orders, "as you can see we're busy here". How is that my fault? Do you not put the food tickets in order?? She was a complete jerk. No apology from her at all. Had it not been for the other gentleman I'd be rating this 0 stars. The other employee was incredibly nice. He apologized for the wait and wanted to give a drink on the house. But I respectfully declined, as I didn't need a drink. He again apologized and gave me a piece of cake along with my order. Thank you to you. But please, someone at your establishment teach that young lady how customer...
