OPA! of Greece Southcentre Mall — Restaurant in Calgary

Atmosphere points are for the mall, as it is a nice food court. The food was disappointing. I ordered a gyro wrap and added the fries snack bowl because I wanted a larger portion of fries to share with others. The fries snack bowl did not come with nearly enough sauce to enjoy the portion. I asked for more sauce and they wanted me to pay for more. I realize this stuff does not come free to a restaurant, but if you're going to put something on your menu, you should at least ensure the reason people would order that dish is sustained (let's be honest OPA, people order your fries for the sauce). Want to know how much sauce was in the portion? Not even enough for half the fries. If I wanted fries without your sauce, you have plenty of competitors I can go to. If the dish is on your menu, it should stand up. Your fries without the sauce are not at all the experience I was hoping for, and I don't think it's fair for the restaurant to expect me as a customer to pay extra for what should have been on the plate in the first place. I mean, when you guys did your market research and testing on this dish, did anybody eat all the fries? Or did they take a bite or two and say "all good"? I'm...

I don’t recommend this place at all, most likely the worst opa there is. I’ve gone to opa for years, and have always loved the food and had great experiences. This was different. I was charged $5 dollars more for soda I did not order. I had gotten 3 fountain drinks. But was charged with an extra and another pop. We had ordered a chicken solvki meal, and when asked we did say we want rice. But when received our food, we did not have rice or potato.. The staff was rude and very much uninterested when asked, she almost didn’t refund the two drinks, and seemed reluctant to ask if we’d like rice and potato. We ended up refusing. This was the manager too.. which just made it all the worse. Tho got even worse when we tried the food. The chicken and bread were dry.. and falling apart. The Greek salad did not have any dressing on it. It should have had dressing!! Lastly the fries, they did not seem like fries you get from opa. It was all off, and while I hate giving bad reviews. If I could rate lower, I would. I ordered the chicken wrap with greek salad for lunch, and everything was haphazardly put together. Very messy, and not in the good way. Wrap was good though, even though ingredients were all over the place. What bugged me most though was the "Greek" salad. Very large pieces of tomatoes (not grape/cherry tomatoes as one may expect), same with the peppers and other ingredients. They threw the cheese on, not distributed across like it should; no dressing at all; and only two olives. Real Greek salads should be dripping in juices from the ingredients, which this was not. Should also have an abundance of olives, which again, this one did not have. I asked for more olives, instead of just the two, they gave me two more. After I had the wrap, I went back and complained, they looked at the ingredient list and just said it has everything a Greek salad should. Technically it did, but nowhere near what you'd expect from a Greek salad.
