OPA! of Greece Deerfoot Meadows — Restaurant in Calgary

I usually like Opa but why does THIS location seem to close early OFTEN? This is the third time I’ve arrived before their stated closing sign and the restaurant is fully closed, everything is put away and there is no sign of the staff. I arrived 18 minutes before the listed closing this time and I was disappointed again. I understand sometimes needing to get home early for things but yall need to update your hours if you need to keep leaving early :/ The first 2 times originally thought it was my error because I had arrived less 15 minutes and 8 minutes before closing time but it turns out that I shouldn’t have even bothered trying those times either 😂. I’ve been trying to call you guys on the phone for the last 10 minutes while I’ve been writing this review and I just keep getting disconnected. I get you guys probably get paid minimum wage and the working conditions might not be good, but I can’t get off work early to get to you guys earlier so I can eat the dinner I’ve been looking forward to :/ I wanna give yall my money! Food has always been mediocre at this location but I'm giving you guys a 3 because it's never consistent, it's also never been GREAT compared to other locations and we've been to this one at least 5-6 times. We decided to take our chances and stop in on our way home because we love Opa...

Tonight we ordered the calamari as a side and we took 2 bites of it and had to throw it out. It was THE SALTIEST THING we've ever put in our mouths. It's almost as if the person preparing it was shaking it with salt and the salt shaker lid fell off but they served it up anyways.

My girlfriends wrap had mold on it and she didn't notice until half way through. That ended up in the trash aswell.

Wish we could have turned around to get our money back but we were already home and it wasnt worth our time after the long day we had. We just wanted to get home and enjoy a good meal, we of course were disappointed. What a waste of...

Well, I'm revising my past review. This is the 2nd time I've had this experience in this store. I've had OPA! For tye last 15 years or so and will continue to do so. But never here again. OPA! Is a safe food free of allergens. Recipie, is set and clear. Salad is suppose to be fresh not a day old wrinkled and warm. The bread is not to be left in the salad juice to get home soggy and distorted. The pepper in the salad is suppose to be Bell pepper not mixed with unexpected hot burning pepper that makes a child cry. The Calamari we brought home was next to ruin and majority of it was fried batter not calamari. The new girls here are not like the previous people who were here. The food cut and shape is anything butappetizing OPA! The bread is shiny witj excess oil. I have no idea where the OPA standard is gone...
