My Donair — Restaurant in Calgary

This was exactly what I was looking for! Just a little (what felt like) a family run shop serving delicious donair! They get 5 stars for delicious food and service with a smile. Tbh, i don't care about the atmosphere, that's not what this place is about at all! So they get 5 stars for that too, to not bring the review score down.

I had been craving donair for weeks and decided to make the short drive over because of other reviews stating delicious donair. I was not disappointed. I shared the jumbo donair (with garlic and hot sauce) with my husband for lunch- fully loaded with lettuce tomato and hot peppers . We each had a baklava, which tasted home made and full of love.

Will be back...

Ya I have to agree with the lower star reviews. Very dry overcooked donair meat. Crispy, not soft and chewable. Sauce was very lacking for the jumbo. Needed 3x what was given (3 tbls). Actually I was so disappointed I will never go back. I recommend Jimmy's 1401 20th Ave NW. A little farther up 16th Ave but worth the drive! I wonder if he would have ate what he served me? My dog wouldn't eat it! The garbage did! Had to scrap the pita. Also there is stuff being stored in the service area collecting dust. They need a storage room. By far and with all confidence this is the best donair in Calgary!

The meat here is 100% pure beef and made in store rather than the processed meat that you get at other donair shops all over the city, so you will taste the pure beef! All of the sauces are great, delicious and authentic!

And to make everything jbetter it's well priced and cheaper than anyother donair shop in the city while still maintaining a very good portion.

This place is a gem and highly recommend!!! The amazing taste of the donairs and what it's priced at as well as the friendly owner will have you coming back for...
