Quynh Vietnamese Cuisine — Restaurant in Calgary

We went in the middle of the afternoon. The server seemed dismissive, didn't let us finish asking questions and cut us off while ordering. The food was cold when it arrived and the flavor was decent, probably would have been much better hot. The portion sizes were good for the price point. Unfortunately, they forgot several items we ordered, but everything took so long to arrive we assumed the server forgot entering the items. We tried to pay our bill and it took 15 minutes to get the server's attention, then she dropped the bill and disappeared. The missing items were on the bill even though we didn't receive them. After waiting another 15 minutes for our server to fix the bill and issues, we got frustrated and finally went up to the front to pay because we had to leave. We had to argue with the staff member at the till about the missing items, then as we were talking they finally came to our table, cold. I have been ordering here for years, there are many times I buy my whole work place food ( just shy of 700 dollars). One day upon eat our food I notice it was overcooked. I called the next day as a courtesy. They said they will replace the meal. I wasn't expecting that. Upon going there and apologizing for the delay cause of the weather and distance I drove to be there. The owner said it was my fault. They won't replace it, and how they own a small business. Coming from airdrie to hear this, I was so sadden. Wasting me time, gas and the road conditions. I have been frequenting there for over 15years. The icing on the cake was when the owner said well also I will not be served any longer, I wasconfused asking if at any given time I was rude or yelling he said no that they don't want customers like me. So, to clarify customer who give them a courtesy call if something wrong. And that was my first call in 15 years. I take people there, buy for my company many times and always drive out of my way...

So we went on the website to look at what food had and didn’t have seafood as I’m allergic. I understand it’s a pho restaurant and they use seafood.

With that being said on the website it says next to each dish that’s there is seafood or no seafood. So having the allergy I ordered the dish that on the website said no seafood. In the other I did say please try not to cross contaminate between my order and my girlfriends. Just to be sure.

When we arrived. They had said we wanted to talk to you about the order. That the meat is marinated in fish sauce. I had said “oh okay please cancel my food” “keep my girlfriend’s order” but they still charged me for my order. they said because the order was placed online and paid for that there was nothing they could do in terms of a refund. Even tho on the website it states no seafood is used in that dish.. be very careful..
