New York Fries Sunridge Mall — Restaurant in Calgary

Disappointing follow through. Places like this don't really care about a few bad reviews. They're just busy anyway, so it doesn't really matter. I have updated my review by adding nore above and below. Now I'm just wasting my time. I have had great experiences at other recipe unlimited establishments, so this is really off brand behavior.

I went to this location because of the positive reviews. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Service was very fast. The fries were amazing and I grabbed a cheese sauce to go with them. I also got the flamin' bacon dog, which is huge. My only issue with the food was that the hotdog was, literally, room temperature. I know hot protein, for service, must be heated to around 70C. Obviously the hotdog is precooked, so it's not really a safety thing, but for the eating experience, it would have tasted better and benefitted from some heat. If it's too hot for someone to eat, they can easily wait a few minutes. But the opposite is not so easy. I'm handicapped and had limited time, so I wasn't inclined to "take it back." For nearly $8 for a hotdog, I was expecting more. Perhaps there should be a thermometer near the dog roller and serve the hotdogs at around 50 to 60C. I'll consider returning, but will pick my own hotdog, because I could see that some had some nice browning (Been on the roller longer) and some that obviously were newer to the party. Just didn't think I would have to do that, as I definitely got one of the newer ones. I'm adding this line here because even though there was a response from the company, suggesting that I email them for further details, which I did in December and again in March, there hasn't been any communication made from their side. This is one of our favorite spot, specially for my 9 yo daughter. I'd like to shout out to Rafi, one of the staff who went above and beyond, we had a long hair day at one of the beauty salon near by and I couldn't leave due to coloring process, so I called up the store and asked if they can deliver it. At first, of course they suggesting delivery app which for me, I had to download, add my credit card details wait for another 25 minutes just to get it delivered. It's absolutely hasle! So I insisted and try to persuade them to deliver, it's only takes 2 minutes of their time and my kids is super hungry, we can't wait that long. Thankfully Rafi took an extra mile to deliver it for us and I was so relieved that my kid didn't go hungry and I don't have to worry she's gone out by herself. Thank you Rafi!!! Good Dogs, Decent Fries, But Not Worth the Price.

I recently visited New York Fries at Sunridge Mall, and while the fries were decent, I found the experience overall underwhelming for the price. The fries were fresh and crispy, but the portion size didn't seem to justify the cost. Additionally, the selection of toppings and condiments, although varied, didn't add enough value to make up for the high prices.

The service was average; the staff were polite but not particularly friendly or engaging. The seating area was clean, but it lacked ambiance, making it feel more like a quick stop rather than a place to enjoy your meal.
