It started off as a pleasant experience. I took my mum here for mothers day dinner. Specifically breakfast for dinner. We each ordered the two by five meals which come with two eggs, two pieces of bacon, two sausages, two pieces of toast, and two pancakes. We ordered hashbrowns on the side, one order of stuffed and one plain. We had different orders of how we wanted our eggs done as well as different types of toast. When our food arrived I didnt have pancakes on my plate so no big deal right? So when the opportunity came to address this with the waitress she started to argue with me saying that I ordered the hashbrowns instead of the pancakes, my mom who was present while ordering politely corrected her and said no actually she ordered them on the side like she had. The waitress then went to the kitchen to correct the order, in the meantime we started to eat and noticed the eggs & toast were incorrect! The eggs had been switched around and the toast was completely wrong. We ended up switching one egg each so she could atleast eat one egg (she can't tolerate over easy which is what I had ordered). We didn't mention this as we already had some friction with mentioning the pancakes, so no big deal right? I get my order of pancakes and they're undercooked, again not wanting to cause additional friction nothing was said. When it came to the time to pay I noticed I had been charged $6.00 for the pancakes! I politely said that the pancakes came in the two for 5 deal and that hashbrowns should have been charged again, she was noticeably annoyed and went to fix the bill. As I finished paying she then said the reason I didn't get pancakes was because it didn't come with my meal.... to which my mom replied we ordered the same thing and mine came with pancakes to which the waitress replied 'oh well then'. This is honestly the worst customer experience I've had at a restaurant, I typically don't go this is depth with reviews but I'm so taken aback by how she was blaming the customer for her mistakes. We both decided that would be our last time there. Please educate your staff appropriately on your menu items so they're not incorrectly laying blame on the customer...
Read moreWill never eat here again. Very slow service. Our entire experience took about 2 hours for 5 adults and 3 kids. Waitress was very apologetic when she noticed my mother showed up and when she forgot my coffee but when I said my beef dip had a rock hard bun and cold meat, she simply took it away with out a word. Luckily she brought me a new dish but to my disappointment she brought back an old chewy bun with what seemed like the same meat and the same salad I got the first time. Once I decided to take the meat out and just eat it with my salad I found a hair in it.... We told the waitress about the isssue and once again she took my plate from infront of me without a word! I told her I was done and not to bring me anything else. At this point the table next to us left after waiting for over an hour for a 4 top and another table were complaining about the food being not worth paying for. When asked if the manager was there, she said he wasn't around. She did not end up charging us for the beef dip, however she also not once apologized or brought up anything about making it right. I would have liked her to at least acknowledge this, knowing full well that she was not 100% to blame. We did hear her saying to one of the three other tables besides my family eating in the place at this time that the kitchen staff was not cooperating with her. Having been in the food industry, this is a discussing, pathetic display of food and professionalism. I am truly disappointed in my experience here and will never go back. With this beings such a new Ricky's, I honestly expected more. I wanted to display my frustration to the manager because honestly, this facility needs some attention, but the fact that no one with authority was to be found was just the icing on the cake. When 3/4 tables that occupy the restaurant at one time are not happy with their meals/service, I vote it as a fail. If this Ricky's is going under, I'd love to see an...
Read moreMy wife and I have been regulars here for some time, but we have found in the last few months, attention to customers and food detail has dropped off significantly.
We visited there today (Sunday the 11th) hoping that some of the service we used to get here might have been restored... We were greatly disappointed. After being seated, it took 10 minutes just to get coffee. When our food finally came, about 45 minutes after we ordered, the double egger that I got was stone cold... I sent it back, and was told a rush was put on the re-order. In the mean time my wife had gotten her meal, and was finished by the time mine finally came.
There was no attenpt to make any amends for the tardy service, I even had to take my plate of cold eggs to the hostess to have them replaced.
Not the experience we expect, and since it has been consistent this way now for some time, time to move on to another sunday brunch venue... When you consider that breakfast with eggs and protein and coffee for two costs over $40 with tip, the value is...
