The Pros= To start off this place Has and Most Likely Our Family’s ‘Go To’ Restaurant for ‘Family Donners’ Especially for my grandmother. Believe me we’ve Tried Other Place with Various Degree in Success, we always seem to Gravitate Back Towards this place on out next Dinner Outing. And as for the Place itself I Really Like how Brightly Lit was as soon as you walk in and through out your dinning experience. As for the Center Roof Area there’s just something that I’m always Drawn to, maybe it’s because of the Lights? Anyways moving on then next is the service it’s always excellent the Waitress is always Nice to us, I think it might have something to do with us being Regulars hare? As we’ve been go hare for Years Now.
As for the Décor and the environment it Both Looks and Feels Really Fancey and the seats are a lot easier and more comfortable to sit in, especially for someone who has a Medical Condition such as mines. And with it being Situated in a Strip Mall Obviously there’s Plenty of Parking Specially after Closing for all of the other stores. And on that Note Obviously if you want to or even need to do a little shopping done before going in you could, after parking and walking to where every you wanted to go and drop your things off in car before going in. All without having to start up your car before with weather conditions pending of course. As for the Dim Sum true we haven’t been to this place for Dim Sum for a long time it’s Mostly just Dinner for us, but The Best To Memory it was also Pretty Good. No Carts Thou if that’s what you enjoy about Dim Sum Experience. And that should do it for the Pros.
The Cons= Now I Realized that I may have come off as ‘Paid’ Believe Me They Don’t need Paid Reviews. Anyways because as Great as this Place is to Fit its name I Still have some Grips about this place. Starting with This Place is always Packed and when it does it’s always Super Loud I’m Talking about Barely Hear the Person Next to you Load. And on that Very same Note I just wished they Started Expanding this Place I’m Sure they have the Money for it. As it always Feels Crowded especially when they have an ATM and a Dessert Fridge and a bunch of chairs. All which are fine but what’s not is the Big Kiosk Advertising Various things. As it takes up that much space and sides I feel that a Big Kiosk like that is fine for a Large Area Like a Bank or a Shopping Center but Not In a Small Area Like this place. And Not only that I feel it’s a Fire Safety especially when the Main Door is always Packed Full if Diners whom have either are Waiting for a Table or have Already Finished Dining. There’s the Bathrooms I’m just Confused about them as they do have Doors it’s just that they are Never Used. And at the same time it feels Out Dated and Unsensitized I’m not saying that it Literally is No but what I am saying that’s what it Feels like.
Now don’t get me wrong the Food is Good but the Quality seems to have been Slightly Compared to the Last Time that we where there before Yesterday which was a Sunday. Take The Dessert for example instead of being Thick Like it should be it’s More like a Sugary Bowl of Water, with Red Beans in it. Just to name an example now I’m not saying that it was Horrible or anything it’s was still More than Edible but I am saying is by Comparison. And that should do it for the Cons.
Final Thoughts= Obviously Daspit my Cons I still Recommend This Place if you haven’t Been and is Living with in Commuting Distance. Of course our Family would still make this place our ‘Go To’ Unless something Really Drastic Changes with this Restaurant. And that...
Read moreCame here for dim sum lunch around 11:45am on a Saturday. First impression: The first server who greeted us at the door told us to wait for a small table by the window as those people were about to pay and leave, then a 2nd server (I think is the manager/owner) came along and tried to seat us at a table for 8-10 people. Our party was only 2 adults and 1 toddler so I told her I'd rather wait for the smaller one, but she started saying there's 2 other people in line behind me and that they will get the smaller table. I informed her that we arrived first how come we can't get the smaller table first? She said because we have more people so we must get the big table. I didn't want to continue arguing so we settled for the massive round table. Food: Food came out hot and fresh, flavour was good and tasty. Didn't have any complaints regarding the taste or quality of the food at all. The steamed rice in clay pot was a pretty big portion too. Service: They were pretty busy and there's not enough servers around, it took us a while to flag a server down to grab us some hot sauce. But they do clean up pretty quickly, as soon as you finish the dim sum they come and take the empty steamers away Note: They give you the bill but you have to pay at the front counter I would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu as my family did enjoy the food even though there was a...
Read moreshort review: They definitely served us (and probably others) dead fishes, instead of live ones like they advertised on the menu. free range chickens that were definitely not free range chickens. and charged us $9 PER FROZEN crab claws. all at our Chinese new year dinner. we will probably never return, not even for dim sum.
detailed version: don't go there for special Chinese holiday meals, like Chinese New Year. first of all, you can only pick one of their set menus, which is understandable, but some other restaurants let you pick dishes you like ahead of time instead. the biggest problem is the freshness of their ingredients. they advertised on the menu it'd be steamed live fish, but in reality it was probably dead before it got to their restaurant. they do realize a lot of people can actually tastes the difference between fresh/live, frozen and dead before butchered fish right? the free range chicken, was not free range chicken, and the put fish chunks into their version of shark fin soup, which was over seasoned with pepper. the worse part of our dinner (apart from the famous slow Chinese restaurants service on a busy night) was the fried crab claws. they charged us $9 PER claw/ball, and they were bought frozen, then refried. their dim sum on a regular day is not bad, but my family and I are seriously considering not going there, for...
