The Poutine was average at best but I was willing to give this place another try.

But now after reading about the Public Health Violations I don't think I will.

I read that the health inspector came across six dead mice on glue board traps in the kitchen another dead mouse was observed on an electrical outlet under a food preparation table in the kitchen, while mouse droppings were found in cupboards in both the front service area and the basement.

There was also an accumulation of grease, soil and food debris on equipment under the cookline; under the food preparation table; on the floor under shelving in the walk-in cooler; on the ventilation canopy baffle filers; and on the walls and ceiling.

The AHS inspector noted in the report that the restaurant’s conditions “may become injurious or dangerous to the public health or which might hinder in any manner the prevention or suppression of disease.” It further noted that internal food temperatures of perishable food “being held hot” ranged from 35 to 46 degrees Celsius.

In addition to a dead cockroach and other public health violations.

I Am Truly...

A franchise spot where you can find meat, vegetarian and vegan offerings of poutine. The prices range from 6.99 to 9.99 in the one small size and add $3 to any for the larger size. This is similar to Smokes poutinerie style and concept but with more of a local take on it. The fries are good in making the base (good style, cut, flavour, crisp) but although the cheese is locally sourced, it is not as squeaky (but very stringy and melted) as ones from Montreal. The gravy, although it's their own recipe, lacked some flavouring which made it not salty but bland and a glutinous type of thick. Overall put together, the ratio was a little off, gravy didn't reach the bottom leaving it with dry fries to eat. Small size was definitely a surprising small size - be sure to look at box size before ordering to see if it will fulfill your...

I was really looking forward to going here for lunch with my boyfriend. The staff were fantastic and the resteraunt itself was neat and tidy. The food was a huge disappointment for the price it was. The board only displayed the regular pricing- so when I saw my total I was a bit shocked. I got the Perogie and my boyfriend got a meat one with bacon and sausage etc. we also got Mac n cheese (way too much food) mine was ok- but the onions tasted like they were sitting for days, there was no sour cream, and the cheese curds didn’t melt. The meat on the other tasted super processed. The Mac n cheese tasted like Jalepeno and Valveeta- creamy but very off-putting to say the least and was cold. It looked like it was scooped out of a container and thrown in the microwave. Portion size was very good, but we won’t be going...

Not ony the worst poutine, the worst fries. Ordered a large tradiditional poutine and regular size nacho. The fries tasted like they were sitting at the kitchen for a whole day and were fried again like 5 times. Bitter, greasy, super dry inside. Lack of cheese and gravy. 70% of the dishes were plain fries.. my wife and I had to waste them.. and like others said both of had stomache ache after eating these. Not sure how this store got such high review rate. Probably popular for drunk people as it's in the middle of 17 AVE and next to pubs

So far, the best poutines I've had in Canada. The sweet potato one is my favorite. Also, their hours are super handy. The servers are nice and overall the place is ok, only thing that is bad about it is the lights, it is too dark in the place itself so I just eat outside. Edit: I've changed my opinion on my favorite one, the one with chicken is the greatest. It could be even better if the potato was changed to the sweet potato one, I need to check if this change is possible next time I show up to eat it.
