The Big Cheese Poutinerie — Restaurant in Calgary

Okay, I went to this location with family member and the two staffs members were having a fight because the other member came in drunk and she was throwing the kitchen tinsels around on the floor. Then sticking her fingers in her mouth and eating her fingers then wiping it on the towel which she uses to wipe the counter or anything down. Absolutely disgusting. These are new owners and I will never eat from this location ever again. The restaurant yes was nice and clean and everything. The lady who did help me. She's the one who made our food thank God cuz if it wasn't her I would be asking for my money back. It is absolutely disgusting. Having an employee come in heavily drunk and making a scene. Everybody in the restaurant was looking and watching her being ridiculous. She was throwing phones, kitchen, utilities and whatever else would happen after we left. She was also using her feet to push drawers clothes instead of her hands her dirty feet. Where have they been? There's one employee will not be fired because she is a family member of which is not fair. You come in like that and do this in the restaurant. Yeah well that just makes me not want to come back to that location ever again. I was so disappointed but the food was the one lady who wasn't doing anything. The food she made to us was absolutely fentastic. Oh my God I inhaled my fries. I had the vegan protein and my family member had a beef boutique. She loved hers and I inhaled mine but was not impressed with the other staff member of her behavior LOL. Absolutely disgusting and the post not even believe her what was going on so she had to take a video and then that girl took the phone and through the phone phone across the kitchen. Wow quite the behavior in a restaurant. No thank you I will never go back to this restaurant again. I will go to the other location even though it's further away. I...

It should be zero stars because of the rudeness of one staff working there. I am a disability support worker and in the past I took the people I support to Big Cheese for ice cream every summer. We had always gotten great, friendly service until today. My individual wanted to get ice cream and when we approached the ice cream display, we were barely acknowledged by a young lady working there. My individual was waiting patiently for her to come to the display so he could tell her what flavour he wanted - it is part of maintaining his independence. That young lady ignored us the entire time we were waiting at the ice cream display, and I felt that she was disrespectful towards people with disabilities. I had enough of her rudeness and took my individual next door to Gummi Boutique, where he got friendly, cheerful service and ice cream to buy and enjoy. I will not be taking my individuals back to Big Cheese again, and will not recommend it to my colleagues, because of the rudeness of that young lady...

Absolutely amazing service and staff! Every single poutine is delicious and well prepared. The staff are knowledgeable and courteous with the upmost respect for special requests. I come here all the time and have noticed an influx of non-compliant hooligans that think not wearing a mask is gonna get them service. The staff at the store strive for the health and safety of all it’s patrons and are just doing their job. Anyone who complains about being refused service, because of non compliance to the mask by-law in place by the city of Calgary is a giant baby and needs to get a reality check. I can’t count how many people walk around trying to enter any store in general with such attitudes. We are all trying to keep each other safe and should do our best to stay safe and be kind. Just wear a mask for heavens sake!!!
