I’m being generous giving one star. We booked a table through Open Table reservation app. and clearly stated it was a Birthday and Valentines night combined… open table is to blame as well for not passing on our special occasion , birthday dinner. We arrived a half hour early for our reservation ,thinking we would have a drink at bar while we wait for our table. The hostess told us she could seat us right away and that it didn’t matter we had a reservation , we wouldn’t need to wait. For our table. She didn’t acknowledge our reservation had special request for my birthday, just sat us at the back of the restaurant in corner with a bar size table in a booth. We decided to order the Valentines dinner big mistake. We even added wine pairing to the experience. The wine was not suitable for the meal ,so I asked for a recommendation, …my waiter made sure it was the highest priced on menu…only concerned with amount of tab and tip.The rye/ coke was actually scotch and ice with splash of flat coke, embarrassing… Our waiter didn’t acknowledge my Birthday once the whole unfortunate meal…I didn’t mention it either…I knew the minute he pushed the high priced water at the get go…The meal was so bad, but we were hungry. The Caesar salad came on one plate and we were given bread side plates to dish our own…Portion was so small , it would normally be considered a single portion, it’s like they were running out of the special and had to cut the portions to feed everyone. The 4 oz each ribeye was actually 4oz sliced, over cooked and fatty, I got one scallop, one prawn, 2 small bites of potato and over cooked stringy vegetable of some sort…all served family style…advertised as Surf n turf, The best part of the meal was the oysters on the half shell, with a shot of $16./oz vodka, also recommended by my waiter of course. The home made croutons in the very small wilted Caesar salad…were ok…the waiter made recommendations for wine at the very top of the price list and more interested in his ring out at the end of the night and how high he could get our tab…We thought the waiter only ordered one portion until we commented on the portion size… since when does family style mean over priced, low quality meat and skimp on freshness and portion size…The Vin Room , from my experience , is over priced, and staffed with staff who are mainly concerned with tab amount and selling and need to take training in meal service and just basic table etiquette , menu and serving abilities. Stop worrying about how much my tab will be and what your tip might be and actual care about the people sitting in your section.and my dining experience. The staff are undertrained and the reason they have a job is “me”. The manager must push the servers to get high ring outs for perks… that waiter received the tip he deserved… if you like over priced watery cocktails, fatty cuts of meat, and a waiter with dollar signs, $$ for eyes, then The Vin Room is for you… Make sure you order from regular menu, ask if it’s family style, and eat before you go dine there…total disappointment and ruined...
Read moreMy experience here really disappointed me. Before coming in, I called to make sure that minors were allowed during the day, even though it also said that minors are always welcome on their website. Me and my two teens sat down and the server didn’t greet us at all, just asked for their IDs. I thought it was a joke at first, but he left unannounced, then came back saying “what do you want?” No hi, how’s it going, sorry about that, nothing. When the bartender served us water, I was disgusted. She put them down with her fingers on the rim of the glass for all 3 glasses. She’s lucky I’m not a health inspector because that’s a food safety violation right there. As a bartender myself, I was shocked at this, but didn’t say anything. I ordered a French 75, which was delicious, as was our other food, which was a variety of appies. At first, our server brought us all the wrong food, left it for a bit, then took it away. After almost an hour with no quality check and our plates being empty and stacked for roughly 30 minutes, the server offers to bring me the bill and brought me the wrong one.
Besides the food and drinks being good, this is probably one of the worst dining experience I’ve had. I felt so unwelcome, and did not get a thanks for coming or even so much as a greeting. The hands all over the rim of my glass I think really did it for me. This rating would’ve been lower if the food and atmosphere was matched the service, but luckily both...

Note: This review is NOT for the actual restaurant experience or menu/food. This is for the to-go packages which is a separate menu all together and most likely sub-contacted to a different catering company.
We had the to-go packages recently and the food left a bad taste in our mouth.
Chicken Parmesan with Alfredo Pasta was pretty decent and it's really what saves this review from getting only one star.
Beef Lasagna and every other item with tomato sauce was un-eatable and straight o the garbage bin. The tomato sauce was extremely sweet and tasted like it was made with pure sugar. The first thing that hit our pallet was the sugar which overcome all the other flavors in the food.
I understand the pasta sauce can be acidic, but please don't try to hide that with pouring cans of sugar in my food.
The Artisan Salad- Gluten Friendly was also a joke and it was basically Costco stuff mixed together which I can make at home at anytime. The portion of the salad for $6 was a bit strange. It should be more like $3 for that portion size.
It's not the greatest feeling to write a bad review for restaurants, but the chef of Vin Room should have checked their Grab and Go Packages once in a while. I tried my best to be as gentle as possible when writing this review.
Please Don't make...
