Volos Pizza — Restaurant in Calgary

Our family has been eating Volos Pizza for years. The service is prompt, the pizza is delicious & it's family run. Just last night my son & I were out for a longish bike ride & as we were returning home he suggested we pop in, order a pizza & have it delivered. By chance, fellow cyclist & owner Lampros was there. He suggested that the Knob Hill Special would probably hit the spot. When asked if we wanted medium or large ... we wondered - but of course choose the large. I thought we could use whatever leftovers we had on Friday nights camping trip to Keho Lake. Lampros immediately suggested whatever we don't want - put in the fridge immediately prior to the pizza getting cold - it would be delicious as leftovers.

We ordered & rode home. A quick shower & pizza delivered to the door. It was yummy as always & we got snacks for tonight's camp adventures around Keho Lake!

I love to camp ... but if you don't ... go with a day old Volos...

Apparently a medium is a small and if I wanted a medium I should order a large. It tasted good. Owner said, “it’s more filling than you think” and he was right. He offered to make a salad, so there’s that.

Note for the owners: calling a SMALL a MEDIUM is deceptive marketing. I'll assume you are attempting to make it sound like your small pizzas are larger...when in fact they are barely plate size, single servings. $7 supermarket pizzas are larger (granted your pizzas are much higher quality), and taste good. But that doesn't negate your attempt to trick first time customers into thinking they are larger than they are. As a result of your reply (did not acknowledge that your marketing is deceptive, nor making any attempt to update it), I'm downgrading my review on the Service section. I was going to update this review to be higher based on the food quality, but instead lowered it based on your reply. Trust...

Pizza is not the same as it used to be. I’ve been a long time customer I don’t know what’s happened. They forgot to put sauce on my pizza I think or else they use a lot less I think they might be using cheaper low quality cheese also Start cooking your pizzas like you did in the 80s and 90s the pizzas you’re putting out now are not even close to what they were I did this review 11 months ago I ordered because I had people over that were longtime customers that moved away and they wanted to order Volos so I told him about my last experience they still wanted to order so I did and Man they got worse. How could you get worse? Such a shame was a good place to eat back in the day. Definitely lost me for a customer. I don’t know about my guest but I’m sure they will never order from them again either. threw over half of it away...
