We got married at Cambridge Mills!

Megan was the first consultant that we spoke with. We instantly loved the Falls Room & Solarium as it had the best views. Overall we had really good feelings about Cambridge Mill by the end of our meeting. What really solidified the decision was the FOOD! We decided to grab lunch at the restaurant that same day and we were blown away - we tried the salad, burger, pasta and carrot cake. We tried to look at other venues after including 2 other Pearle properties such as Spencers and Ancaster Mill but they couldn't even be compared to the hospitality we received at Cambridge Mill.

Megan moved into a new role and we hopped on a details call with our new co-ordinator - Amie. We were a bit worried as we had already laid down the ground work with Megan but everything worked out well. All of our notes and plans were seamlessly carried over to Amie and she understood what we wanted without any issue. Working with Amie made wedding planning so much easier - she gave us insightful feedback regarding our timeline, provided good suggestions and was genuinely excited to see it all coming together. We liked the flexibility and making modifications wasn't stressful, she would always make time to speak with us with her tight schedule. All in all, the planning leading up the the wedding went well and they accommodated out of the box requests.

We had our tasting scheduled 2 months before the wedding in January. Danielle was our server that day, and she was so amazing and we had a great time chatting with her. We also talked about signature drinks in a purple colour and she said she and they had some ideas in the works. Luckily for us she was going to be working with us on our wedding day!

About 2 days before the wedding there was a small misunderstanding regarding the wedding party arrival time for photos with the front desk which caused some stress as it would push back our first look. Luckily, the situation was resolved on the same day and they were extremely apologetic about it. They also provided additional space so both team groom and team bride could take photos without crossing paths. On rehearsal day we were greeted with a winter storm near the end of March - however Stephanie welcomed us happily. The rehearsal itself was very straightforward. The whole team was so accommodating, they set everything up and our group went in and finalized the details.

On the wedding day, Stephanie and Danielle were our main contacts and they were so wonderful to work with. The team worked quietly and very efficiently, they moved all our ceremony pieces to the reception spaces seamlessly and rearranged the Solarium to fit all our late night eats. Speaking about the food, the kitchen staff nailed it from H'or D'oeuvres down to the late nights! The dinner was delicious - I know I'm being biased as we picked the menu items but I'm still amazed how good the food was - we had butternut squash soup, garden salad, stuffed chicken or steak and a chocolate hazelnut mousse. The wow factor was the entrees. They were HUGE portions - the stuffed chicken breast was our favourite, so juicy and tender and flavours of the mushroom sauce and goat cheese stuffing complimented each other nicely. Most of our guests were surprised to hear we chose a venue in Cambridge instead of back home in Toronto during the planning stages. Needless to say our guests were blown away by everything - the venue, the view and the food. They said "Oh I see why you chose this venue now!" and they are still raving about the food and how amazing it was to this very day.

Overall I highly recommend Cambridge Mill to all couples looking for a venue, their team is amazing to work with and the people are so genuine. I'm really hoping someone from our friend group will get married there, as I would personally love to attend another event at Cambridge Mill!

I was married Jan 17.2020 at the Cambridge mill and it was amazing, I would not have chosen anywhere else. The team, location and food are by far the best, it was one of the happiest days of my life and I would not have changed a thing!!

Quick Summary: Venue: 5 stars Food: 5 stars (I would honestly put this higher if I could) Location: 4.5 stars Price: 5 stars Staff: 5 starts (Certain people need to be mentioned! see below) Additional Perks: 5 stars (personal room/wedding minions) Professionalism: 4 stars Bar: 5 stars Bathroom: 3 stars (pretty tiny for our venue) Hotels nearby: 5 stars - lots of options Parking: 5 stars! lots of space to invite as many people as you'd like! (we had the waterfront room)

LETS TALK FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I was captivated by the venue when my husband and I went for the walk through the venue, the architecture is both modern and rustic, with the scenery set to the rushing waters next door, and the glass windowed ceremony space took my breath away, it was one of 5 venues we were checking out but we new instantly this was the place we wanted to be married. We received the tour from Erika (she was awesome! she was very friendly, not pushy at all and very hospitable without any pressure) when we came back to meet with the wedding coordinator we met with Vanessa, whom was a savvy and professional woman and went through all the options with us, they won me over with the confectionery they displayed and offered. If you like macaroons, well these are to die for! I am a pretty picky eater so I was happy that the desserts all tasted great and they could be offered at our wedding. LETS TALK FOOD: Food? it is AMAZING. Again, I am pretty picky but the tasting/wedding food was one of the most delicious things I've had, every option was delicious. If I needed a reason to reverse time, I would reverse time to go back to my wedding for the food alone. It was exquisite. We had: "celery root and apple puree" (sounds weird, but is a tasty and different from the norm soup!), "Grilled half chicken with balsamic and herb vinaigrette", "Craft Cut beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce"(Tender and juicy for mouthwatering goodness!), and finally "mascarpone cheesecake" From the appetizer to the main course to the dessert every meal was made to perfection. I added the late night service so we also offered fruits, brownies, cookies, etc. (not your normal assortment these where high dinning tasty morsels!) with mine customized to include the macaroons which were off the charts delicious. CEREMONY SPACE: The ceremony space, is absolutely stunning. Something out of a Disney movie, with its beautiful crystal chandeliers, waterfall backdrop, and wooden architecture. Breath taking. The additional benefit here is that they offer to do the music for the event and you can choose to get an associated officiant. We had Martii, whom was a funny and friendly individual perfect for the warmth of the moment. The music was also on par, it was inspiring and romantic, I could not absorb a lot of this atmosphere as my eyes where teary and I was overjoyed focusing on my husband on the day of, but the guests were blown away. THE PEOPLE: Because my wedding day was everything I ever wanted and more, I want to give a big shout out to all the staff members whom made this night a possibility and helped in the event to keep it afloat: Vanessa, Erika, TYSON!(whom was a big hit at the wedding reception and very useful throughout the whole night), ASHLEY!(whom was a great help and did everything in her power to ensure the night went off without a hitch), Monica, and Bar Tender (whose name I never learned but he was great and all the guests seemed to love him too!).

All in all they completely deserve the 5 stars Thanks for letting me have such a...

I really wanted to like this place.

Went for a friend's bday. We were there right at opening at 9:30am.

They put several of our coats together on the same ticket and skipped me til last even though I was 2nd in line.

Was 100% willing to overlook this, but I'm being detailed because of how the rest of this went.

We weren't given any direction after taking our coats and were kind of floundering until we were taken to our table.

After we got to the table, they took our drink orders, and we went to get food.

Now, all of the cold area food didn't have a place to put the spoons other than on top of the food itself.

So all those people not washing their hands after taking a dump and then using the tongs that have no place other than on top of the food... Is now on your food. Gross.

As more people showed up, there were tongs falling off this and that and ending up on the floor and knocking food over. Why is there no designated place for the spoons? The crepe guy was trying to clean up stuff from the falling spoons instead of making crepes.

On my way back from the cold food, there was a carafe of spilled water and unsure why there was so much stuff being spilled while I was here.

The food itself was alright.

I went to the hot table, and the guy in front of me ordered 2 slices of meat, and he got 2 hefty slices of meat, so I ordered the same and he was doing his best to slice the absolute thinnest pieces he could for me, to the point he kept slipping with the knife and so I ended up with 2x half slices of meat unlike the guy in front of me.

I asked for pastrami later on and he flung a full fork of pastrami at me, getting it on my shirt and on the floor. The pork shoulder he couldn't even cut right and instead of giving me part of the meat he cut off a hunk of fat, cut the hunk of fat in half and gave me half of a hunk of fat.

I did mention it to the waitress and she just asked me if I was done eating this hunk of fat. Yes I'm done eating this hunk of fat..that's why I told you about it..it's inedible.

She kept asking one member of our table if he wanted more mimosas but didn't ask the rest of the table, so he got like 5 mimosas and the rest of us got 1-2. We did ask another waiteress but she said that only our personal waitress could give us mimosas.

She kept refilling out waters from our own carafe, which was really weird. We are capable of that ourselves.

We had dirty plates on the table for a period of time long enough we started stacking dirty plates, but the weird thing is, they kept taking our silverware and then not bringing any more back.

When one person asked for more coffee, she spilled it onto the plate too.

For the price, I was severely disappointed in the service I got here. Severely disappointed in the meat guy being a jerk to me. Severely disappointed in the waitress only giving one of our people mimosa refills, spilling stuff, and running away with our silverware never to be seen again. Having no place to put tongs and spoons at the cold table was awful.

At one point there were no eggs Benedict anymore, I don't know if it ever was refilled. Bacon was a bit salty..Mac and cheese under seasoned. The potatoes were fantastic though. Couldn't find any salt for the meat.

The food was pretty decent but the rest of the experience was god awful, and I expected more for paying a premium price. If nothing else, to not have our silverware consistently stolen, and not brought back unless we asked. Multiple times. while dirty plates piled up.

And because they piled multiple coats up, at the end they also dropped my coat on the floor when...
