On my first visit, I ordered Peri-Peri chicken and fries, which cost over $100. The portion of sauce I received was very small, barely filling half of the container. When I politely asked for a little more, the old woman at the counter made strange faces and became very rude. She insisted she had given me enough and mentioned she had included garlic sauce, offering to take it out if I didn't want it and replace it with hot sauce. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable.
I gave the location a second chance on September 8th. I placed the same order. This time, I was given one hot sauce and one garlic sauce. When I asked for more, she had an attitude and told me I would have to pay $0.25 for each additional sauce. I pointed out that the bottle was only half-full, and she claimed, "It comes like this, I can't do anything."
Then, the old woman took the garlic sauce container from my bag to put it back with the others. She dropped it on the floor, picked it up, and put it back with the clean sauces to be used for another customer. This was extremely unhygienic and disgusting—I felt like vomiting.🤮
There was an older woman wearing a hijab at the counter who had a permanently angry and scary expression. She stared at customers as if we had stolen something or owed her money. It felt like she was doing us a huge favor just by taking our orders.
Charging $0.25 for a half-filled sauce packet is a scam. You are fooling your customers. The chicken itself was rubbery and tasteless; they clearly do not know how to prepare it properly.
After a two-hour drive, I deeply regretted visiting this location. I will never return. I highly recommend avoiding it, as it is a complete waste of money and an insulting experience.
For a much better experience, I always go to the Nando's on Dixie Road in Mississauga. Their chicken is perfect, and they never charge for sauces. The Gulito in Mississauga is also a good location. An employee like that old woman, can really ruin the customer experience and potentially harm the business’s reputation and destroy business in a single night If I could, I'd give this place 0 stars, but unfortunately, that's...
Read moreGot the family pack with chicken basted in the regular lemon herb sauce, bread sticks, rice, potatoes, and ordered a side of fries.
Fries are very good. Ordered a large and was impressed with how it was packaged. They were still warm and crisp by the time I got home. The charbroiled chicken is juicy and flavourful. The rice was properly cooked and not spicy. The rice is also appealing to look at with all the colour. We eat with our eyes first. The potatoes are a bit too spicy and were slightly undercooked. I got 1 potato that was fully cooked and it was the best with the spice level. I'm sure the undercooked potatoes are an oversight and won't happen often. The breadsticks OMG. If you remember Olive Garden, Galito's breadsticks are twice as good and addicting. I would like to try the garlic sauce next time. I did not see that as an offering for the chicken when I was in doing the food order, but I know it exists. I was impressed that people kept coming in to order, the phone kept ringing for orders, and a team was dining at the back of the restaurant. That means the food is good if a team is going in to fill up after a game. Social distancing is in place and the crew was wearing masks. Next time I will ask for extra sauce for the chicken. I feel that it needed more lemon herb at home. Galito's also sells bottles of their sauce. I'm glad to have a next level chicken restaurant in Cambridge. I'm looking forward to trying more food...
Read morePayment machine wasn't working, I asked to provide etransfer details. All the time i waited patiently, while the staff was helping me out, without even saying anything. Later the manager, Saad, arrived and we tried to use the machine again. The etransfer slip wasn't even handed over to me and Meanwhile the staff who prepared my order went ahead to handover the food bag to me. I was still waiting to get the details to make the etransfer but suddenly, out of disrespect, the manager rudely stopped his employee to not give the food until he confirms the payment and tells him so.
All I said to the manager that's this not the way to deal the customer, I never said or showed any signs of walking away without making the payment. But he kept on arguing, and maintained his rude behavior and shouted, telling me to leave the restaurant.
I only kept saying this is not the right way to deal with the customers, and he instead threatened, called the 911.
In all of this episode, the other 2 employees of the restaurant and one dine in customer can bear witness, also the restaurant recording can be a proof who's behaviors, verbal expressions were abusive. In the end I walked out while he was on the call with 911. He followed me outside the restaurant and took pictures of my...
