So I left a very polite review on Preston's fb page . I received a follow up message soon after asking me how they could improve and I shared my thoughts. I realize it their advert on fb and they have the right to remove my disappointment. It was removed right away and I guess I should have known better . They have my cash and that was their goal nevermind the food and drinks . My wife and I had discussed going out since I had been cooped up for quite awhile after surgery. We both do not drink alot but realize that it is a treat to go somewhere at happy hour . We did a search online to try something new and decided on Preston's. Never again . The barely soup was cold and tasteless the clubhouse sandwich was lacking . We ordered a large salad that had 1 baby tomatoe a few onions and a greens and a couple of rings of onion . The wings my wife ordered were not hot but tasted like they just come out of the microwave . As I said in my previous post , I am not one to keep my mouth shut but I did for her sake. I don't do this review thing at all but if you feel you need a great dining experience, I would not recommend this establishment. When the bill came and even though we were there during happy hour , we were charged full price for something that had been advertised as almost half price . The server we had was really nice and did her best to be accommodating, the kitchen staff however I can not say the same about. Our first visit to Preston's we had dinner, I can tell you the plating was absolutely beautiful but unfortunately my food was horrible the potato was burnt and the fish was so over cooked it had zero flavor and resembled over cooked chicken. I was not able to eat it and sent it back, our server was very apologetic and took it off of our bill. Our second try during our visit resulted in the kitchen being out of the steak bites I had wanted so I asked if I could have the thai chicken bites that are listed in the room service menu and not in the restaurant menu. Our server went to ask the kitchen and came back with a "yeah they weren't happy about that at all and refused". This is horrible customer service and I probably won't go back to eat here again. It's a shame really as we try and come out to Chilliwack ever year for a weekend get away. Great cocktails: Cosmo, Scooby, and empress lychee top recommended. Beautiful outdoor seating with afternoon shade right next to the pond.

Food was so-so: Potato skins were overcooked and ~8 tiny wedges with bacon and green onions added prior to cooking and smothered in BBQ sauce. Suggest having the chef add the green onions afterwards and add BBQ sauce on the description or leave it off. The nachos were huge. Both dishes the cheese stuck to the paper underneath. Two sides of beans were ordered and taste and texture were different in each and also possibly had the BBQ sauce mixed in them. Steak was medium, instead of medium-rare. Fry portions were huge, but way over salted. The couple next to us mentioned theirs were salty too. Poutine was huge and tasted okay, cheese a little rubbery. Suggest cutting some of the appetizer portions in half. Butter chicken with dryish basmati rice and a little wilted lettuce garnish.
