Sushi Ami — Restaurant in City of Langley

Just shared this with 19,787 more people This restaurant have the most rudest staff and management . I order take out and while waiting I asked where the washroom was and then cleaned up while I was in there one of the staff members started banging on the washroom door telling me to get out of there immediately because there were someone else that wanted to use the washroom. I asked what are you Talking about I’m using the facilities and I will be out when I’m done at Best. I was in the washing two minutes when I came out a minute or so later there was nobody there except the manager and staff member I reiterated how disappointed and embarrassment I was that she knocked on the door and was yelling for me to come out of the bathroom after 2 minutes. There was no one waiting to go to the bathroom she told me to leave once I questioned her and her manger. I have never been so insulted in my life. Btw I am a 60 year old vp at a bank and never have I received such awful service. If anyone is ever considering to go to this restaurant to eat, I would strongly suggest not to the food is substandard. The service is the worse You will ever receive the staff and management are all the worst people you will meet in a restaurant -10/10. Never go to this restaurant it is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. I will make sure to tell everyone who will listed the food is Awful and the service and the staff it’s even worse…i just shared this with 19,787 other people as well on linked in. (Shame on you Sushi Ami) perhaps it’s time for you to close...

My boyfriend and I have been coming almost exclusively to this restaurant to get sushi for the last 4 years. This is the place that got me to love sushi. Every time we come to visit, we are warmly greeted with a smile and an enthusiastic wave. We have never had an issue with the quality of food or quality of service. They always have the freshest food and any warm food is brought out piping hot. The portions are large enough that I only have to get one special roll and a miso soup in order to be full. This keeps the bill a lot cheaper than every other place we have been to. You truly get the most out of your money. They also always provide us with a small appetizer on the house which is so kind of them to do, even when we order takeout. The avocado tempura is one of our favorites, it's like eating deep fried butter. We highly recommend it, it's absolutely delicious.

I could go on about these wonderful people at Sushi Ami all day, but a prime example of how lovely they are is when they gave us a Christmas card and chocolates one year thanking us for being a valued customer. This really sums up how much they care about their customers.

We will never stop coming to Sushi Ami as long as they are open! Thank you to everyone at Sushi Ami for being the best sushi place in...

Customer service is the only reason this place gets two stars. Everyone working there was lovely and if that’s why you pick a restaurant, then this one is for you.

The food was alright but nothing special. The roll I ordered was dry and tasted like something you could pick up at the Save-on-Foods next door: average and bland. My favourite thing to order is by far gyoza. Sehmi Sushi (old name, past owners) made delicious deep fried gyoza and I asked when ordering from Sushi Ami if they did this as well. They said yes so that’s what I ordered. I was severely disappointed by the oil soaked food I received. For some reason it was gyoza filling coated in tempera flakes (which I’ve never seen before, usually wrapped in rice wrap???) and was extremely soggy. I’m assuming the oil wasn’t hot enough..? You could literally squeeze oil out of it.

This place is newly opened and maybe I’m being hyper critical because I loved the past restaurant. Sehmi was a staple of the downtown community, a restaurant families have been going to for at least a decade. Their closure breaks my heart and I am on the hunt for a new favourite sushi restaurant.
