I have been coming here since I moved to Collingwood in 2020. Every time my family or friends visit from out of town, I take them here as well, because I genuinely enjoyed it. For some reason, the last 3 times I’ve been in, I’ve had horrible service. This time was possibly The worst. I took my 10 year old daughter with me in the middle of the day, thinking it wouldn’t be that busy. The hostess gave me a dirty look when we walked in the door, didn’t greet us until I said I wanted a table. She walked past me and said nothing, then came back and took us to a table. We ordered our drinks, and I only asked for water, when the server gave me the water it was warm, and the cup was dirty, had a lipstick smear on it, almost as if she grabbed a water from another table, I attached a picture of the lipstick on my cup. It took me 20 minutes to flag her down to get me another water, because she kept ignoring us. We waited over 40 minutes for a kids taco meal and a club sandwich. The person next to us was sat 15 minutes after we were, and got his food before us. When I got my food, the chicken on it was dry and they put so much mayo on it, it was like eating soup. I also found a blond hair in my poutine, I picked it up and threw it on the table in front of me, which when I told the sever about it, she bent down to inspect it and told me she couldn’t see it. I already removed it from my food, and I didn’t like how she was making it look like I was lying. At this point I didn’t care, I told them to cancel my order because I wasn’t hungry anymore. I sat there for another 30 minutes after my daughter was done eating, waiting for her to bring a bill, I ended up tipping her anyway, but now that I think about it, I shouldn’t have, because the service was just as bad as the food. She never one time checked on us, or refilled my daughters drink. It also shouldn’t of taken over an hour and a half of waiting for what we ordered. I also like to point out the previous time I went here, I took 2 of my kids with me, got the same standoffish attitude at the door, and at the end they put someone else’s order on my bill. I went to pay it and questioned why it was almost $200 for me and 2 kids, she acted like it wasn’t a big deal, pointed to the table near me that was still eating, and said she put their meals on my bill. I told her I’m not paying that, and she left and took back a new bill that was correct. I thought that was really strange, to try to get customers to pay for other customers meals. I decided to give them another chance after the 2 previous mediocre visits, but I think I’m...

We came back on Labour Day, weather was fantastic so it was busy as you might expect. The staff were good at communicating situation and looking after regulars as well as visitors - we felt well taken care of (I’m sure by a guy who was the owner as well as the host) and waited only a very short time to get the exact spot we wanted on the patio with some shade. Drinks came fast from a very friendly server. We both went for house-made burgers this time, a pitcher to share and kids had good sized fresh meals - our 3 eat very well but they could well have shared one grilled cheese and one burger meal between them - burger looked adult size and fries definitely were. Included ice cream for the kids is good bonus.
Original review: Fantastic place for lunch with the kids between skating and skiing. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere. We stopped by Friday lunchtime and bar was full of guys - young and old - and a few other mixed groups in but our family felt right at home. Sports on TV but not oppressively loud, good buzz to drown out the occasional complaint from the kids. Reasonable kids menu $11 included drink and dessert. Kids meals came out huge, dessert was two scoops and did not disappoint. We both had the ski Club sandwiches which were equally filling at $21 each with whole grilled chicken breast and peameal. Full bar selection - plenty on tap. Dessert irish coffee also very good. Would definitely come back next time in...

I want to start by acknowledging how this pandemic has affected many businesses and that includes restaurants. Many had to shut their doors permanently and others sadly had to let their employees go. When given the green light to reopen, it caught them off guard and some are currently under staffed. I understand that as customers, we have to be patient because they're trying hard to bounce back and at the same time satisfy their clientele.
That being said, there's no reason why we had to spend almost 1.5 hours at this place when it should've been 45 minutes to an hour tops. (Judged by seeing other customers that got in at the same time with us leaving half an hour earlier). It took ten minutes for the waitress to get to our table, another ten to bring out our drinks and an hour to get our food at the table. The waitress never apologized for the delay or showed any effort to help us understand the situation. The frustration came after seeing other tables that got in after us getting served way sooner. We asked to see the manager and her excuse was to say "they made fresh food" (I truly hope so) and were currently under staffed". We weren't expecting a free meal out of fhis but at least showing a bit of considerarion towards our claims would've been enough. We ate our food as fast as we could when it finally came out not mentioning that we also had to reorder our beverages as they were flat and watered down due to the long wait. Soon after, we paid our bill just wanting to leave this bad experience behind. This place seems to be nice and the food was good enough but unfortunately I would not recommend it because of their...
