I go to this subway regularly. I have always had decent service from this location until tonight. I do not live in Collingwood and this is the closest subway to my location which is a thirty minute drive. The store is open until 10pm. I arrived before 10pm, doors locked, open sign turned off. I chose to phone them since the doors should not be locked and they told me that they had already locked doors and turned sign off so therefore would not be letting me in or serving me. I'm pretty disappointed that I wasted $10 on fuel and an hour of my time driving just because these kids want to close the store ten minutes early so they can get home ten minutes earlier. It's really quite a piss off when you are hungry and have hungry teenagers to feed as well. I will be contacting the manager tomorrow to see if there is anything he or she is willing to do about this or if they are simply going to tell me I am s.o.l. I have worked in the food/service industry... You cannot lock the doors into the posted closing time, and if there are people inside eating you cannot lock them out, simply because you are closing. And I get this isn't a fine dining restaurant or even really a dining restaurant... But it is a sit in food service and I am really unhappy with my wasted time and the service given over the telephone. I would love to change my rating to a higher star and I will depending on how management proceeds when I call...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the amazing employee working on April 11th in the afternoon: especially the young lady who was handling the entire store by herself(sorry for my short tempered nature) . She was doing her absolute best, staying calm and professional while trying to keep up with multiple orders at once. Truly impressive, and she deserves recognition for how hard she was working under pressure.
But ZERO stars for the owner or whoever is in charge of scheduling shifts. I came in to pick up my order only to find out it wasn’t ready. Why? Because there was only ONE person working — during a clear rush hour time. How do you expect a single employee to do the job of two or three people? It’s unrealistic and completely unfair to both the staff and the customers.
This kind of poor management directly impacts customer service, and yet it’s the employee who has to deal with the stress and complaints. That’s not okay. If you want to run a business properly, especially in food service, then you should know the basics, like making sure there’s enough staff during busy hours.
Shame on whoever is making the schedule. Do better or else quit. Dont make...
Read moreI used to love coming to subway, I never had a bad experience ever when I came to subway, until I started paying closer attention, the customer service is always a 10/10 but I felt a bit uneasy when I walked into a subway for lunch on June 20th at 1:00pm and there was two girls who have just finished up with a customer before me, and she did not put on a new pair of gloves after watching her finish up this customers order, touched the cash register, touched other things with the same gloves on then proceeded to start my order, before I could even tell her what sandwich I wanted I asked her if she had put a new set of gloves on, she had a guilty look on her face and didn’t not answer, just took the gloves off and put a new pair on, for the rest of the transaction she had an attitude with me… I was not trying to be arrogant to the staff but after a two year pandemic I was a bit uneasy, if the box of disposable gloves are there why stay wearing one pair?? Just pay attention when other people are handling your food, especially right in front of...
