Triple O's — Restaurant in Courtenay

Visited yesterday evening. It was ok, but it was obvious the guy taking orders via the drive thru was either distracted, or doing too many things at once. Had to repeat the order back at least half a dozen times at his request because he'd forgotten what I'd said or wasn't listening. My mom wanted a tea, so asked for a tea and was told they didn't have any. No apology. Asked for "no burger relish on my burger please, only triple O sauce." He told me that wasn't possible because they're mixed together....I know that's not true, since I've been ordering my whitespot burgers this way for 10+ years....I was incredulous, so I said "the relish and the triple O sauce are mixed together?" and he says "Yes." I wasn't about to start arguing with the guy so I just said "ok, that's fine." Sure enough, after I got the food I checked my burger and it has triple O sauce on the top half of the bun, and the burger relish is a few layers down, on the bottom side of the patty. Definitely not "mixed together" like the employee insisted it was. So my next question is are the burgers here premade, or are they made to order, as they should be? If a customer asks for something as simple as not adding a condiment, then the staff should accomodate that request, no questions asked. And how does a food establishment run out of plain black tea of all things? Lol. Yeah, yeah, first world problems I know. Hopefully they're more...

Being a fan of Triple O's in other locations. I was disappointed with my visit here. The woman who took my order gave me the bad vibe as soon as I got to order. She wasn't pleasant and seem like she was having a bad day maybe.

I placed my order for a double double burger. After I paid she didn't offer me my receipt or acknowledge my payment. She just continue bagging the poutine cheese on the front counter. Which surprised me with Covid-19 and that I was standing a few feet away.

Stunned by what happened I kinda stood to see if she notice me but she continues to ignore me or the health hazard. Her co-worker came over from the drive thru to check on me after she left to put away the poutine cheese. He at least was helpful to giving me my receipt.

I'm guessing she also made my burger as she came out with it from the kitchen. I hope she washed her hands but I have little faith. The burger was squished and dripping in my car when I tried to eat it. So I didn't have time to snap a photo of it as my hands were getting covered by sauce. I hope head office gets to see my review and...

Update: Both of us agreed, by far worse ff breakfast we've ever had, buns we're burnt and it was downhill from there. Today we learned that Triple O's is to be avoided going forward ha!

Terrible service, took forever, condescending attitude, no idea how to serve customers properly. Told me to never come back because I criticised her lack of basic understanding on how to serve someone. The lying was over the top, no apologies for taking so long to prepare food, just sad all around. If you can't tolerate tourism, maybe you should not be doing this job? I mean, the cook came out to tell her to "take your time" Hahaha, it's like a joke instead of a place of business. So many other restaurants to choose from, go...
