Where to start...
I've been to this restaurant several times, and each time the business has been painfully slow. We sit for a good 10-15 minutes each visit before wait staff eventually comes by to take our order. The kitchen staff is also extremely slow, so you're in for a pretty long wait before you get food. Or water for that matter, as it seems to take 10+ minutes for a glass of water, regardless of if its busy or slow.
About a month ago we went in, and the service was so bad and so slow that the manager actually noticed and offered us each coupons for free individual sized pizzas. That was a nice gesture at least.
Tonight we went back in to make use of those coupons. As expected, the servers were slow to take orders. Slow to bring water. Slow to check on us once we received food. Slow to bring refills. Slow to bring bills. Etc etc.
My husband and our friend ordered the same burger. When they eventually got it, they looked completely different. They were supposed to have fried jalapenos on them-- one burger had ONE (1) peice of jalapeno, the other burger had 2. And they were smallll peices. The point of a topping is to make a layer, isn't it? When they pointed this out to the server, she went back to the kitchen and returned with a bowl of sliced raw jalapenos.. lol.
Our friends pizza was supposed to be a bbq chicken pizza. It had about 8 tiny peices of chicken on it, and zero taste of anything remotely resembling bbq.
At the end of this we paid our bills, and the server watched very expectantly as if waiting for her tip. Haha.
1/10, would not recommend and will not return. The one star is for the manager at least offering...
Read moreCame for my birthday dinner yesterday, I don’t usually leave reviews; if I have a bad experience I just leave it at that. But I was SO disappointed…& me and my boyfriend love your guys food!! (we didn’t end up ordering this time if you read on). But the bathroom on the bar side was the most dirtiest bathroom I’ve seen in HRM. I mean so bad that the Domes toilets looked cleaner. It honestly looked like it wasn’t cleaned in months. I get it, no one wants to clean a toilet. But that makes me feel like other stuff isn’t being cleaned properly & being neglected aswell. If you invited someone over to your house for dinner would you have a horrible film of dirt and bacteria & whatever else that was over your toilet?…. & after seeing how dirty that was, It really put us off. Seriously if someone sits on that toilet they are gonna get some type of skin infections!! I didn’t even bother trying the toilet paper trick over the seat because I didn’t wanna risk it & every toilet was like that. So we left and chose a different restaurant. Seeing the bathroom like that was a real put off, it’s hard to eat food after that... I think people will choose to eat at other places in the crossing, seeing a establishment filthy like that. Read moreWent in on a Friday night. It was very close to closing time, but we thought to get a quick bite(Power bowl) to go as it's a pain to have to have people there past closing. When we entered we were surprised on how busy it was still. Host/Manager at front was on the phone at the time so we waited. After conferring with another person she left the front and was wandering around. We waited and I thought maybe it would be faster as she appeared to be real busy, just to order through the app. After a few min had passed she was walking buy and decided to stop and said I'm going to be running around for a while, but I wanted to stop and tell you we are closed. I'm understanding as I've worked restaurants for years, but to tell a customer thats been waiting up front for more than just a couple of minutes that they are closed before closing time, isn't right. Why waste yours and my time after all that waiting. Tell me up front right when I get there. Hey I'm really sorry but it's been a super busy night and the kitchen is closed now so we won't be able to make anything up. I'm sorry about that." Cool makes sense, but just ignoring and hoping that people will leave on their own accord then just telling them, we are closed before closing time isn't good...
