One of the reviews on Google indicates that the person thought this was the best restaurant in Western Canada. My partner and I have travelled a lot and we thought to ourselves - no way.

However, with the first bites of our food, we realized that if that wasn’t true, then it was pretty darn close!

The Bonton is not set up like a traditional restaurant where you just show up and order entrees. While you can order their “mains” for each individual person, I highly recommend that you treat them more as shared plates to give you the opportunity to try more variety that they serve!

Reservations are required/strongly encouraged (we made one on the same day) and for good reason - the team wants to know how much food they should prepare. Even though everyone was ordering at approximately the same time (there are only a few seating times to reserve for), the food still came out in a very timely manner.

The Bonton prepares their own cured meats so their charcuterie board appetizers are a must try (and very reasonably priced)!

The cocktails are unique and very good. And the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was top notch.

This restaurant is a MUST try if you are in Dawson. We did not have a chance to try it but I am sure that their brunch is...

We ate at the Bonton two years ago when we were in town on a trip and it was so incredible that when we decided plan our elopement/small wedding in Dawson City, it was a priority of ours to include dinner at the Bonton in the itinerary.

Everything was absolutely incredible - the team was very communicative and incredibly easy to plan the private booking with and everything was very appropriately priced. The team did a fabulous job setting up the restaurant for our booking so we did not have any need to bring in our own decor - the ambience alone is perfect to begin with.

The food for our event was absolutely incredible and there was such a reasonable amount. We did family style with a set menu and all of our guests left feeling incredibly satisfied. The drink menu is also perfection.

When we first decided to eat at the Bonton 2 years ago, we read a review that this was the best restaurant in Canada. We were in full agreement with this 2 years ago and that has not changed in the slightest. If anything, the menu, team, and atmosphere at the Bonton without question has this restaurant in one of our top 5 through all of our international travels. It is without question a place that you must check out while in...

Okay, so.... I wish I had some pictures to share, but I don't. Well, maybe 1 or 2. My son's wedding dinner was at this restaurant. They booked the entire place for their wedding meal. It could not have been more PERFECT! The meal was served family style. 5 courses. $45 per person. It was worth every penny. Every dish was to die for. The staff was so accommodating. Friendly. Attentive. The atmosphere is nice. Quaint. There were approximately 20 adults (give or take) as well as 5 children all under the age of 5. They went out of their way to have something special for the kids! Little charcuterie cups! So cute! They have a good wine selection & the cocktails are not only delicious but quite beautiful! I cannot say enough good things about this place! They use local ingredients, which I think is amazing! Don't let the outside appearance of the establishment fool you. It is quite an unexpected upscale dining experience. Everything is plated beautifully & so full of flavor. Just go there. Probably now...

By far, the best dining we've had in Dawson. Food, drink, atmosphere, and service are all well executed. As you enter the establishment the log post and beam construction of the place opens to vaulted ceilings and a welcoming Yukon atmosphere. The menu is made up of plates made to be shared. They were all beautifully presented, and the ones we had were delicious. The wine selection by the glass was extensive and great to have since my wife and I have different tastes in wines. The team service worked well. It seamed that staff could pickup on peak loading of others and fill in where needed with the feeling we were well looked after. I congratulate the owner/chef and her hard working friendly staff for a dinner I will long remember. Thank you Bonton.

My wife and I stopped in for drinks on a Thursday night, and we loved it. The hibiscus whiskey sour and orange margarita were creative, beautifully crafted, and delicious. The cheesecake was excellent. We liked it so much that we came back the next morning for brunch. For brunch, we had braised beef, charcuterie, chilaquiles, mushroom & cheese sandwich, and sweet bread. Then, we returned in the evening for more drinks and food. The wonton soup and corn ribs were fantastic. Reservations are required for dinner, and they fill up days in advance.
