Ordered four dishes. The bill was a little over $80.00 for mom's birthday/mother's day dinner. The same waitress from a previous review brought the POS machine to the table for payment, and she asked if I wanted the receipt. I replied, 'No, that’s fine, thanks.' Then she stated that the bill does not include a tip. My response was that I am not required to tip. How rude and uneducated; for all she knew, I could have left cash on the table if I was inclined to leave a tip. When we sat down at the table by the same waitress, there was no offer of water or tea. She took the order and brought the dishes out one at a time. I had to ask for tea. The only times she came back to the table were to ask if we wanted takeout containers and to give me the bill. Even if I were a tipper, I don’t see how any of the above actions would warrant a tip. I’ve experienced this tipping issue at another Asian restaurant in Burnaby, which is ironic as Asians are often considered to be the cheapest tippers. Perhaps her employer should pay her a better wage, or she should educate herself and seek a better job. I’m not here to supplement her income with a tip. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I DINE AT THIS...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant, and I couldn't help but notice the concerning behavior of their staff towards DoorDash and Uber drivers. While I understand that the restaurant business can be demanding, it's essential to treat all customers, including delivery drivers, with respect and courtesy.
During my visit, I witnessed several instances where the staff exhibited rude and dismissive behavior towards these drivers. This not only reflects poorly on the restaurant but also creates a hostile and unwelcoming environment for customers like myself.
I believe that good service extends beyond just those dining in the restaurant. It's important for businesses to show the same level of respect to their delivery partners, as these drivers are a crucial part of the customer experience.
I hope the management at this restaurant takes these concerns seriously and considers providing proper training and guidance to their staff to ensure a more pleasant experience for everyone who interacts with their...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant for a few years, I’ve recommended many people to this restaurant in the past. But yesterday was a huge disappointment! I love eating calamari, I usually order The salt and pepper squid with most meals. When my calamari came yesterday, the portion was about half the size of what it used to be. Which would have been fine if it tasted good. It’s the first time I’ve ever tasted squid that was fishy! and the batter was not good. So I asked the manager if they had changed the batter or how it was cooked, he said no and walked away. I tried to scrape off the batter, but I still couldn’t get over the fishy smell. I tried to get the manager’s attention, but he looked the other way and ignored me. So I paid for the meal (no tip) and left. I’m never going back! I love food! I love good service! This place did not Provide either one. Something definitely has changed in this restaurant, because it used...
