What an absolute GEM!
A few friends & I went in for the first time & ordered a pound of BBQ pork (around $11-12) and a half pound of pig ear.
Wow!
The BBQ pork was so juicy, so flavourful, and had the right amount of lil' crispy bits on the end. It came with a BAG of sauce that we dumped over all & I wish I ate this with rice so we could soak up even more flavourful from those savoury juices.
This is one of the best things I've ever eaten in Edmonton. Incredible.
For pig ear, it was my first time. They ask you if you want the meat chopped up. Say yes, absolutely, just makes it easier to start eating right away. Very tasty pig ear.
We wanted to order squid but by 1pm it was sold out (which means you know it's tasty!)
Anywho, go support this small local business because their food is incredible.
Heads up, cash only. And yes, it's worth making a trip to the bank to make...
Read moreRipped me off. They weigh your meats and make u pay. But when they cut up the meat. They don't give you everything you pay for. They weighed a peice of meat with skin on which was about a few inches long that I paid for but ended up only getting two tiny slivers of skin in my box and saw them put quite a bit back into the case with no meat on them. Just took the skin off of what I paid for and ripped me off! To top it off the roasted pork was flavorless and bland and dry! The sausage also tasted bad. You might save a few bucks bc it's cheap here. But flavour wise they skimp on flavour and rip u off not giving you the meats you paid for! Look at these photos of what I received with all the skin removed from what I paid for. Don't let them cut...
Read moreThis place used to be excellent, with long line up's and spectacular bbq filling the warming cabinet, I used to go out of my way to come here because it was worth it. however, I just went there today and not only was it quiet, I couldn't recognize any of the old staff, and it's too quiet, there were only 5 to 10 pieces of "meat" available (I went there around 3 in the afternoon on a weekday so not exactly late late) , I bought some cha siu, and honestly, even the super market (T&T) chasiu are better than this place, absolutely dry, inproper cuts, the fat is not even rendered as you see in picture and the flavors are off, unfortunately, I won't be back anymore, it's not worth it anymore...
