Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Edmonton

I’ve eaten at many Chick-fil-A locations all over the world and have never had an experience as disgusting and disappointing as this one. I ordered a meal with a frosted lemonade, took a sip, and immediately felt something strange in my mouth. When I looked, there was a human nail — not an acrylic, not fake — a real, ripped nail piece floating in my drink.

I was completely disgusted and called the store to report it. Instead of taking responsibility or offering to rectify the situation, the manager tried to make excuses, saying that the person who made my drink was a male — as if men can’t have fingernails. The lack of accountability and concern was absolutely unacceptable.

They even asked for photos, as if anyone would calmly stop to take pictures of a nail in their drink instead of throwing it out immediately out of shock and disgust. I’ve never had anything like this happen at any other Chick-fil-A. Finding hair in food is bad enough, but a nail? That’s beyond unsanitary and unsafe.

This location clearly lacks proper hygiene standards and professionalism. I will never return to this Chick-fil-A again. Management’s response was not only dismissive but also repulsive. Extremely disappointing coming from a brand I...

Ihave to say that we are huge fans of Chick Fil A! We love what this company is about and the amazing customer service you can expect when you stop in. We have had the opportunity to visit many, many locations throughout the US. This was our second time at this location. The food was good - a bit on the salty side but ok. We ordered three #1 meals and a 4-count Chicken Strip meal. Drinks were Diet Sunjoy and Diet Coke. They were low on Chick Fil A sauce and did not seem to want to be generous with it. The bathrooms were not particularly clean which is something I noticed last time but thought maybe it was just a one-time thing. When it was time to have our drinks refilled, we were told that the Sunjoy was a “seasonal” drink and not refillable. NEVER have I heard that before and the Diet Sunjoy is the drink I always get. The first time we visited this location, it was refilled. Such a strange thing for them to say. Overall, I’d say that it feels like this location wants to cut back on things and is perhaps more interested in larger profit margins than returning customers. We will not be returning unfortunately. Been here a couple times and each and every time has been a wonderful experience. This last time was exceptional, especially when it came to customer service. Two things of note.

One, a worker noticed our toddler crying. After a few attempts to calm her, she left. Eventually this worker came back with a stuffed cow wearing an "Eat Mor Chikin" sign. An amazing gesture that was appreciated. At the time, the store was incredibly busy, but the attention specific to us made us feel incredibly special as if we were the only family there.

Secondly, one of the cashiers, Jalak, provided incredible customer service. As we were about to leave, a freak rain storm rolled in. In no way were we dressed appropriately. I left to pack the car (baby bag and all) leaving my wife and 2 kids waiting in the entrance. As i came back to get them I see them running out, Jalak with an umbrella in hand carrying one of my kids, and my wife carrying the other. She ran them out to the car in the pouring rain! What more can I say. That was amazing and a moment I won't soon forget.
