INCREDIBLE is the one word I can use for the food here. It's truly a good Chinese dining experience, I really get the feeling the chef here has his own little touch on dishes on the menu. At first glance the menu looks like your standard western Chinese dishes, don't be fooled as each item my group and I ordered had a uniqueness that I rarely encounter. We started with an order of the Wonton soup, the broth was average my partner found it to be a bit salty, however the wontons in the soup were really good, the shrimp and texture tasted very close to the wonton soup I had in Guanzhou, the next dish we ordered was the XO noodles. Again the chef prepared this with a really nice XO sauce and the chili peppers really added th extra kick, the noodles had a terrific “Wok Hey” forgive my spelling .. shortly after receiving the noodles our order of sweet and sour pork arrived, the pork was good not to crispy not to soft, the sauce had strong sour hints no complaints. Lastly the dish that I felt was the star that night, so initially I wanted to try the duck, however we were informed that they had run out of duck for the evening so I decided to order the Half crispy chicken. WOW am I glad I did, the chicken was incredibly crispy and glazed with a mixture of soy sauce and garlic, the meat was tender while the outside was crispy, the flavor of the chicken was really good, we finished the entire dish it was really good, I will definitely be stopping here the next time I'm in Edmonton. I highly recommend that you check it out of if your...
Read moreTried a few of their specialties - homemade XO sauce (used in their fried rice and fried noodles) and their homemade wontons! Love! Don’t say I didn’t warn you - most portion sizes in this restaurant are quite generous…
Other must tries:
Lamb hotpot - first off, it’s not always available. When they DO have lamb available, it’s always fresh cause it sells out so quick! Lamb meat is always expensive but they’re generous with their portions and it’s paired perfectly with mushrooms and other veggies.
Beef Brisket Lo Mein - their brisket is PERFECT. You can tell they put some effort into their selection of meats. Another must have.
Bitter Melon Chicken - I personally love bitter melon but this time even my brother who doesn’t, found this dish quite enjoyable. Very appetizing and goes great with rice! Haven’t seen this anywhere else.
I’ll grab more photos next time. Was too busy eating….
NEW: Their Singapore fried noodles! 🤤🤤🤤 this is the ONLY place I’ve had them in the city where there’s a bit of a kick. Just enough heat to keep you...
Read moreWhat a delightful place for chinese food. The service was outstanding from start to finish – the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered meal for two with szechuan noodles, onion cakes, and chicken balls, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The noodles were flavorful and perfectly seasoned, the onion cakes had just the right crispness and a savory taste, and the chicken balls were juicy and full of flavor. We left feeling completely satisfied and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic Chinese food with exceptional service in Edmonton!
